I. the economic value of cultivating Cordyceps sinensis

Cordyceps sinensis is a fungus of the genus Cordyceps that infects host insects to make it ossified, and under suitable conditions, the receptacle grows on the susceptible fungus, thus forming a fruiting body structure with the specific form of insect (stilbene) grass (mycelium) complex. Because the species of Cordyceps is basically named after the morphological characteristics of its sexual generation, host insects or human names, so the species name of Cordyceps is the name of all kinds of Cordyceps.

Cordyceps sinensis has high medicinal value. It has the effects of sweet taste, warm nature, secret essence and replenishing qi, protecting lung and kidney, stopping blood and resolving phlegm. According to modern medicine, Cordyceps sinensis can treat labor, sputum and blood, night sweats, impotence, spermatorrhea, jaundice, lung structure and chronic cough and asthma in the elderly.

In recent years, with the decrease of wild resources and output of Cordyceps sinensis, coupled with the increase of domestic demand for export, the contradiction between supply and demand has become increasingly prominent, especially the health drinks and medicines such as Cordyceps oral liquid and Cordyceps snow lotus liquid, which are used as raw materials. The health effects of nourishing yin, tonifying kidney, strengthening yang, nourishing beauty and anti-decline have been recognized by the world, and the market prospect of artificial cultivation of Cordyceps sinensis is broad.

Matters needing attention in cultivating Cordyceps sinensis

A. pay attention to the prevention of fraud:

In recent years, when transferring Cordyceps militaris (also known as Cordyceps militaris), many units and individuals fraudulently called Cordyceps militaris as "Cordyceps militaris" because people could not clearly identify Cordyceps militaris and Cordyceps militaris. This is not the case. Cordyceps and Cordyceps militaris belong to the same ergot family, belong to different species, and their mycelia are very similar. Under natural conditions, Cordyceps sinensis is only parasitic on bat moth larvae, called Cordyceps militaris, while Cordyceps militaris is parasitic on the pupae of Lepidoptera insects, so it is called Cordyceps militaris.

B. pay attention to the environment:

The temperature requirement of Cordyceps sinensis is different from that of other edible fungi. Cordyceps sinensis is a low-temperature fungus and a seed-setting type at high temperature. the temperature of the whole growth period should not exceed 20 ℃, otherwise it cannot grow normally or even die. Neither Cordyceps militaris nor Cordyceps militaris can parasitize larvae that have not been "immunized" (except bat moth larvae), let alone "can be cultivated indoors and outdoors all year round as long as it is not less than-30 ℃ and higher than 35 ℃."
