1. Land selection and land preparation

Perilla has strong adaptability to climate and soil, and choose loose and fertile sandy loam and loam with sufficient sunshine and good drainage. Prepare the soil and plough the soil 20 centimeters deep and rake flat. The furrows and grooves are 160 cm wide and 15mm deep.

2. Live broadcast method

Spring sowing, the difference in sowing time between the north and the south is one month, April in the south and mid-late May in the north. Direct seeding was carried out in the border with strip sowing, ditching at a depth of 2ml / 3cm according to the row spacing of 60 cm, evenly sowing the seeds into the ditch, and then covered with thin cheese. Hole sowing: row spacing 45 cm, plant spacing 25 cm 30 cm, shallow soil cover. Watering immediately after sowing, keep moist, sowing rate 1 kg per mu, direct seeding labor-saving, fast growth, early harvest, high yield.

3. Field management

(1) loosening the soil and removing seedlings

Weeding should be done frequently before plant growth and ridge sealing, and attention should be paid to inter-seedling and weeding in direct seeding area. when the height of strip sowing seedlings is 15 cm, the seedlings should be fixed by 30 cm, and the excess seedlings should be used for transplanting. The plants in the direct seeding field grow fast, and if the density is high, the plants grow too long, and few of them are unbranched or branched. The seedling field was loosened and weeded twice from planting to ridge closure.

(2) topdressing

Perilla frutescens for a long time is relatively short, the whole grass can be harvested two and a half months after planting, and the whole grass is used as medicine, so it is mainly nitrogen fertilizer. Concentrate fertilizer before closing ridges.

Topdressing when the seedling is 30 cm high, 1000 kg of human feces and urine or 8 kg of ammonium sulfate per mu, 10 kg of superphosphate, loosening the soil and cultivating the soil to bury the fertilizer. Apply fertilizer again before the ridge is closed for the second time, the method is the same as above. But be careful not to touch the leaves this time.

(3) Irrigation and drainage

After sowing or transplanting, it will not rain for several days, so it should be watered in time. Pay attention to drainage in the rainy season, dredge the operation road, and prevent stagnant water from disorderly roots and defoliation.

4. Harvest and processing

Edible perilla leaves: pick and cook fresh perilla leaves to choose sunny days with sufficient aroma. Picking perilla leaves should be carried out from late May to early August, when perilla is not in bloom. In the whole year, 36-44 leaves can be picked from each perilla plant, and 1 700-2000kg fresh leaves can be produced per mu.
