Etiology of pesticide poisoning in cattle

Cattle pesticide poisoning is mainly caused by accidentally eating grass or crops sprayed with organophosphorus pesticides, drinking water contaminated by organophosphorus pesticides, and seeds mixed with organophosphorus pesticides. Abuse of highly toxic organophosphorus pesticides in the treatment of bovine skin diseases and parasites in vivo and in vitro is too high, the coating area is too large, especially the oil formulation is easy to be absorbed by the skin and mucosa. If the skin is damaged or inflamed, it is more easily absorbed and poisoned.

Its dosage is 15 mg / kg body weight, 2.5% solution mixed with normal saline and injected slowly intravenously. After that, the dose was halved once every 2-3 hours. According to the relief of symptoms, the injection can be repeated within 48 hours. Or use double phosphorus, double compound phosphorus, its dosage is 715 milligrams per kilogram body weight, usage is the same as phosphorus. Atropine sulfate can also be used for subcutaneous or intramuscular injection at a dosage of 0.25 mg per kilogram of body weight. Patients with severe poisoning can be injected slowly with 1 stroke 3 doses mixed with sugar saline, and 2 stroke 3 doses can be used for subcutaneous or intramuscular injection. If the symptoms do not improve after 1 hour, you can reduce the amount of repeated injection.

2. Skin poisoning in order to remove unabsorbed poisons, wash the skin with 5% lime water, 0.5% sodium hydroxide or soapy water, through the digestive tract poisoning, gastric lavage with 2% sodium bicarbonate solution or salt water, and infuse activated carbon. However, it must be noted that trichlorfon poisoning, can not use alkaline water to wash the stomach or wash the skin, because trichlorfon in alkaline environment can transform the more toxic dichlorvos.
