Xinong Saaneng dairy goat is a dairy goat with high milk production in the world, which originated in foreign Switzerland. Later, it was introduced into our country and bred a new breed. It has the characteristics of strong disease resistance, tolerance to rough feeding and more milk production. The annual milk yield of a sheep can reach more than 4,000 jin. This production has also attracted the feeding of many farmers. Today we will talk about the breeding technology of Xinong Saanen dairy goat.

Flock formation

The same breed of ewes have a large physique and weight, which indicates that they are physically healthy, have good nutritional status, accumulate more nutrients in the body, and produce more milk. With the increase of ewes' age and the number of lambs, the milk yield of dairy goats will gradually increase. In general, the milk yield reached the peak during the period of 2 to 5 births, and decreased gradually after 6 births. Therefore, the old sheep and sick sheep with low milk yield should be eliminated in time, and the ewes with twin lambs per fetus should be selected as dairy sheep in production. the breast shape should be round, pear-shaped, swollen before milking and obviously reduced after milking.

Disease prevention and treatment

The important link of good management of dairy goats is the prevention and treatment of breast diseases, and the breast is an important organ for ewes to secrete milk. Timely prevention and treatment of mastitis is very important to ensure exuberant lactation. During lactation, you should often wash the milk with soapy water and warm water to keep the skin of the nipple and areola clean and flexible. If the nipple is damaged by sucking, you need to suspend lactation for 2-3 days, squeeze the milk out and feed the lamb. Apply sulfonate ointment to the affected area. Milking and massaging the breasts on time every day to eliminate the hidden danger of mastitis. Often check the health status of the breast, if the milk color changes, the breast has caking, should be local hot compress, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis. And let the sheep drink more water, reduce the viscosity of the milk, make the milk thinner, so that it can be easily squeezed out. At the same time, gently massage the breast with your hands, you can squeeze out the stagnant milk while kneading, until you squeeze the stasis, the lump disappears, and prevent and cure mastitis in the budding stage. In addition, often feed sheep some dandelion, purple flowers, peppermint and other cool herbs, can clear heat and purge fire, cool blood detoxification, prevention and treatment of mastitis.

Feeding management

1. Forage selection: the feeding of Xinong Saanen dairy goats should be based on grass. Sheep are ruminant herbivorous livestock and should be grass-based. It is recommended to feed sheep with vegetarian grass, grass grass, purple fresh grass and so on. These grasses have strong drought resistance, are suitable for raising dairy goats in mountainous areas, have high grass yield, excellent grass quality, and are rich in protein, vitamins and inorganic salts. Usually 4 kilograms of fresh grass can be dried to produce 1 kilogram of hay. The undernourished part can be supplemented with concentrate.

2. Concentrate feeding: the roughage of Xinong Saanen dairy goat diet should not be less than 60%, and the concentrate should not exceed 40%. If the concentrate feed is more than 1.50 kg per day, it will cause acidosis in dairy goats. therefore, we should pay attention to feeding more high-quality roughage containing protein and nutrients, high-quality green hay, and a certain amount of green succulent feed every day.

3. Feed change: farmers can also implement the method of alternately changing feed, that is, increasing the amount of high-quality hay and succulent feed and alternately changing the amount of concentrate to increase the milk yield of dairy sheep, that is, every certain number of days, regularly change the feeding level and feed characteristics, through this periodic stimulation, to improve the appetite of dairy goats and promote the increase of milk production.
