Burdock is mainly distributed in China, Western Europe, Kashmir, Europe, Russia, North America, Eurasia, South America, cold temperate zone and so on. Burdock cultivation in China is mainly distributed in Jiangsu Province and Shandong Province. In particular, Xuzhou Fengxian, Pei County in Jiangsu Province and Lanling County in Shandong Province have the longest planting history and the largest area.
The hometown of burdock in China
The township of burdock in China refers to Zhuangwu Town. Zhuangwu Town is located in Lanling County, Shandong Province, with a total area of 33.75 square kilometers and an area of 28000 mu of arable land, with 19 administrative villages and 35000 people. It is currently the largest township integrating burdock planting, processing and export in China. In February 2004, it was named as the only "hometown of Chinese burdock" by the State Special products Commission.
The producing environment of burdock
1. Temperature: burdock prefers warm climate conditions, which is both heat-resistant and cold-tolerant. The optimum temperature for seed germination and plant growth is 20-25 ℃ and 20-25 ℃ respectively.
2. Light: burdock can promote germination under the condition of light, the plants under strong light and long sunshine develop well, and the fleshy roots expand quickly and enrich.
3. Moisture: burdock is a plant that needs more water, which is suitable for higher soil moisture from germination to seedling stage, and moist soil conditions are also required in the middle and later stage.
4. Soil: when growing burdock as vegetable, it is suitable to choose sandy soil or loam with deep soil layer and rich content of loose organic matter and pH 6.5-7.5.
