Taichung City government spent 180 million yuan to transform the Dali Children's Art Museum into a "fiber craft museum" and received half of the subsidy from the Central Ministry of Culture. Mayor Lin Jialong said on the 24th that the future museum will combine with the film and television industry to transform traditional fiber craft into a fashion industry with high added value, and further form a sister museum with the National Taiwan Arts and Crafts Research and Development Center in Caotun. He hopes to hold the first exhibition before the Flower Expo next year, adding highlights to the Flower Expo in Tunqu.

Mayor Lin Jialong said at the municipal meeting that the future museum must be integrated with the film and television industry, which can assist the film crew in dressing up. After the film is finished, the clothing and props will be kept as collections, so that the traditional fiber technology can be transformed into fashion with high added value. The future museum can also hold clothing design exhibitions and buy and sell cultural and creative goods.

Mayor Lin Chia-lung also says that in the future the museum can form a sister museum with the National Taiwan Arts and Crafts Research and Development Center in Caotun, and that the center can cooperate with France for a long time, so that it can cooperate with France when the exhibition opens next year, adding new highlights of tourism culture to the area before the opening of the Flower Expo.
