1. Giving medicine to cattle disease

1. Drug administration in rubber bottle

After binding well, mix the medicine with water and put it into a rubber bottle. The druggist takes the bottle in one hand, lifts the cow's head with nose forceps in the other, the mouth of the bottle reaches the corner of the mouth, slightly to the top, and the cow opens the mouth to extend the bottle to the middle of its tongue, so that the liquid can be poured slowly. When the cow shows signs of coughing, immediately lower its head.

2. Gastric catheterization

After the binding is good, the drugger stands on one side of the cow's head, pinches the medial nasal wing of the opposite side of the cow's nostril with one thumb and index finger, and in the other hand holds the front-end oiling tube (no washing water is left in the tube), inserts the cow's nostril into the pharynx, reaches the pharynx, takes advantage of the cow's swallowing action to reach the pharynx, confirms the insertion into the esophagus, connects the funnel, pours the liquid into the esophagus, and finally uses a rubber ball to blow the remaining liquid into the esophagus. Slowly pull out the drug tube. Be careful not to use a thick hose.

II. Administration of drugs for sheep disease

1. Rubber ball administration: inhale the medicine into the rubber ball, hold the ball in one hand, hold the sheep's jaw in the other hand, put the ball mouth into the mouth from the quarrel, and slowly pinch the ball into it. This method is suitable for the delivery of non-irritating and low-dose drugs.

2. Administration of thin rubber tube: use a thick rubber hose with beans or a No. 22 nasal feeding tube. Because the nostrils of the sheep are small, pinch nose fixation hinders breathing, so one hand can hold the lower jaw to prevent the mouth and nose from shaking, and the other hand can take the rubber tube into the esophagus through the nose and pour the liquid into the esophagus. If there is no small funnel, the liquid can be inhaled into a small rubber ball or a large syringe and injected into the tube.
