Lei Aijin, 43, stood on the edge of the pond, looking at the green and smelling the fragrance, feeling very down-to-earth and gratified. Over the past five years, her family like this lotus, down-to-earth, buried in work, step by step out of the quagmire of poverty.

Lei Aijin is the contractor of this lotus pond. Lei Aijin has a family of five. She suffers from neurofibroma. Her father-in-law has had a stroke for eight years and is paralyzed in bed. Her husband, Lei Dingfu, is short in stature. Others think that he has little strength and seldom ask him to work. The two children are 10 and 8 years old respectively. They are still in school.

For a long time, Ray Aijin worked hard to maintain this difficult family. In the face of the reporter, she said strongly: "there are children to study, there are elderly people to take care of, only overbearing things, there is a day of success."

Nature is fair. Located in Duli Village on the edge of the Han River, the soil is not fertile, but it is suitable for growing lotus roots. Five years ago, Lei Aijin and his wife dug 5 mu of lotus root pond. Last year, they contracted another 10 mu. This 15 mu lotus root pond places the hope of her family.

No matter whether it is windy or rainy, there are signs of the couple working in this lotus root pond. Wang, the leader of poverty alleviation assistance in Duli Village, remembers clearly that during the Spring Festival last year, he returned to the village at 12 o'clock in the evening. When he passed the lotus root pond, he found Lei Aijin and his family still picking lotus roots.

Sales is the key to growing lotus root. In order to occupy a good booth, at 3: 00 in the morning, they had to drive to the county farmers' market nearly 10 kilometers away to sell lotus root.

There is always a reward for what you give. According to the careful calculation of Lei Aijin, the annual output of lotus root is about 4000 kilograms, and the net income after sale is nearly 20,000 yuan. "at least it has solved the problem of food and clothing for the family."

After the poverty alleviation team came, Lei Aijin and his family were listed as the key poverty alleviation targets and carried out poverty alleviation. Last year, she gave her family a lotus root planting grant of 3000 yuan and an education grant of 2000 yuan. This year, her family invested 1500 yuan in dividends in the village base industry. The support team also raised 10,000 yuan to install doors and windows for her new house.

After talking about it, Lei Aijin was full of confidence. The two children had good grades and were very sensible. They took the initiative to do housework at home on weekends and helped to take care of their grandpa. It made her very happy.
