Zheng Wencan, Mayor of Taoyuan Hakka Cultural Festival 2017: promoting small Hakka activities
On the afternoon of the 15th, Zheng Wencan, mayor of Taoyuan, went to Yuyuan Palace Square in Xiaoli, Bade District, to attend the "2017 Taoyuan Hakka Cultural Festival-Badha Hakka fun" activity. Taoyuan has more than 800000 Hakkas and is the first Hakka village. Bade Xiaoli is rich in cultural and historical stories, and the municipal government will retain important scenic spots in each community and plan to promote the construction of Hakka environmental life and create cultural highlights.
Chen Yuming, mayor of Bade District, said that the activities include wonderful stage programs, special plans for "falling in love with guests in Xiao Li" to break through customs, to let participating citizens come to Hakka to fall in love with Hakkas, learn cordial Hakka greetings, and experience Hakkas beating tea, playing Zanba, and so on. In addition, there are "Fuzhu Jinxiao Cultural relics Exhibition" and "hospitality and food in the sky" food taste, know the cultural assets and pride of Bade guest village, and find delicious Xiaolimi.
The activities included City Councillor Cai Yongfang, City Hakka Director Jiang Xianan, Bade District Mayor Chen Yuming, and Duan Shuwen, chairman of Yuyuan Palace in Xiaoli.
