Since the campaign of getting rid of poverty began, Jiaokou County has relied on its own unique climate advantages, implemented the poverty alleviation policy, guided poor households to plant summer mushrooms with higher output value, and realized "planting a shed of shiitake mushrooms and rich families." good results were achieved in those years.

With an average altitude of 1200 meters and an annual climate of 6.7 ℃, Lentinus edodes can produce mushrooms during the golden market period from June to August in Jiaokou County. Taking advantage of this season, the county listed the edible mushroom industry as one of the key development projects after investigation and repeated argumentation in many places. At present, it has basically established three major development systems: production organization system, technical service system and market circulation system.

Liang Linyuan from Yangye Village, Taohongpo Town, is a poor household who set up a file and set up a card. Under the guidance and support of the government, Liang Linyuan, 61, tried to plant a shed of Lentinus edodes last year and sold 12000 yuan, which lifted the whole family out of poverty that year. This year, Liang Linyuan borrowed 100000 yuan from the bank and plans to expand the planting scale. Liang Jianjun, Liang Linyuan's son in the transportation industry, watched his father and the talented people around him benefit from the cultivation of Lentinus edodes. He also gave up the transportation industry, which he had been engaged in for many years, and raised part of his own funds to start the cultivation of Lentinus edodes. Xijiaozi Village is one of the 46 overall poor villages in Jiaokou County. last year, it was achieved by planting Lentinus edodes. This year, with the support of government policy funds, 131 poor households and 344 people in the village set up Hui Zemin cooperatives, realizing large-scale planting. On the one hand, villagers work at home, on the other hand, they participate in cooperative dividends to further consolidate the effectiveness of poverty alleviation.

Last year, 1500 poor households in Jiaokou County directly participated in the cultivation of Lentinus edodes. Five villages, including Shanshengyu, Junzhuang and Xijiaozi, lifted the whole village out of poverty through the development of edible mushroom industry; this year, Qiaoshang, Shangjiagou, Zhangjialing and other poor villages have successively started edible mushroom planting industry. At present, the county has trained 3 leading stick-making enterprises, 2 processing and sales enterprises, 45 professional cooperatives, 4 demonstration towns of edible fungi with more than 2 million sticks, and 40 edible mushroom planting villages, of which 20 villages have basically formed the industrial pattern of "one village, one product, one main body" of edible fungi.

At present, Lentinus edodes industry in Jiaokou County is docked with 14 marketing outlets inside and outside Taiyuan, Shijiazhuang, Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Shenzhen and other provinces, and the products can be exported to the United States, Japan, Canada and other countries. From June to August 2016, Lentinus edodes production and sales were booming in summer in Jiaokou County, with an output of more than 18 million jin and an output value of nearly 100 million yuan in three months.

The county will further expand the series of varieties of Auricularia auricula and medicinal fungi, expand, strengthen, optimize, and refine the edible mushroom industry in a down-to-earth manner, and strive to achieve a planting scale of 50 million edible fungi by the end of the 13th five-year Plan, driving more than 10000 farmers, with an increase of 20, 000 yuan per household. At that time, Lentinus edodes is not only a charming landmark brand, but also a beautiful business card for external publicity. (reporter Luo Li, correspondent Zhang Yanli)
