"Fun Kite" 2017 Pingtung International Kite Festival will be staged
After the sky in Pingtung, the makeup site of the International Kite Festival last year, reverberated, the "2017 Pingtung International Kite Festival" will be staged at Kaoping Creek Riverside Park on November 4 and 5 and at the Tsing Chau seaside recreation area in Mirs Bay, Donggang on November 11th. Pingtung county government held a pre-departure press conference on the morning of the 26th, and county magistrate Pan Mengan sincerely invited good friends from all over the country to participate in the event.
Pan Mengan, the county magistrate, said that the three-day event specially invited professional kite teams at home and abroad to hold kite competition and other performances, including kite lovers from Taiwan, Japan, France, Sweden and Germany, showing all their artistic kite works and superb flying skills, with distinctive shape kites, hard board kites and stunt kites blooming in the sky at the same time.
County Mayor Pan Mengan pointed out that in the past decade, "kites" have changed into colorful shapes with the combination of fluid mechanics, process design, art painting and sports. This year's theme kite is "Fruit Republic." the art class of six schools in Pingdong County jointly painted the six most representative kinds of fruits in Pingtung, including lotus fog, pineapple, mango, papaya, banana and lemon. It will be released together at the opening at 3 pm on November 4.
In addition to the modeling kites all over the sky and the landscape kites on the ground, there are also related activities such as characteristic industry bazaar in Pingtung County, creative clearance and donation of invoices for kites, as well as activities such as parent-child kite painting DIY, bubble flying, three-on-three basketball match, happy baseball game and bicycle tour to the riverside. People can not only watch wonderful kite performances, but also actually participate in kite making teaching and various kite experience activities. The Pingtung county government invites everyone to share and enjoy this feast that decorates the sky.
