Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Lotus can be cultivated indoors because it has strong adaptability, can well adapt to the environment in the room, and has a beautiful meaning of family harmony.

I. Reasons

Lotus usually seen growing in large ponds, but it can not only grow in such an environment, but also as a potted culture indoors. It has strong adaptability and can grow even in small pots. Raising lotus flowers at home means family harmony.

II. Breeding methods

1, planting: choose a shallow tank with a diameter of more than 60cm, select humus-rich pond mud or rice field mud into the basin, the thickness of 10-15cm.

2. Water depth: Do not have too much water in the initial breeding basin, and keep the water depth of 3-5cm. Shallow water can raise the temperature of basin mud and promote the increase of temperature in basin. When the floating leaves come out of the water, the water depth can be increased and kept at about 16cm. Supplement water every morning to prevent insufficient water.

3, light: it likes strong light exposure, placed in the courtyard or balcony and other places with good light and good ventilation, pay attention not to let the wind blow, avoid midday strong light exposure.

Dormancy: It does not have to add water frequently after entering the dormancy period, and it can be kept shallow. After the leaves wither in October, they must be moved indoors for winter.
