1. Select a suitable ornamental lotus seed and wear or cut the concave end of the seed on the cement ground.

2. Soak the seeds in warm water and wait for seedlings.

3. The water should be changed frequently in the process of germination to keep the water quality clear.

4. Wait for its budding in about a week, and transplant when the root grows to 10cm or so.

5. Move the rooting plant out of the pot and cut one plant in each pot. The water layer is about 3-5cm, not too deep, otherwise it is not conducive to plant growth, and the lotus leaves should not be submerged in water.

II. Maintenance

1. Soil: choose humus-rich soil to reduce the amount of base fertilizer. If the mud is more fertile, it is not necessary to use base fertilizer to prevent seedling burning.

2. Lighting: keep at least 8 hours of sunlight a day, but avoid strong light when exposed to the sun at noon.

3. Moisture: in the early stage, the water layer can be controlled around 3cm. If the water depth is too high, it is difficult to raise the temperature. In the peak growing season, the water level can be controlled around 15cm. In addition, water is added once every morning.

4, temperature: it is a temperature-loving plant, the temperature should be above 13 ℃, otherwise it will cause slow growth or decay, flowering needs more than 22 ℃, it can withstand high temperature, and more than 40 ℃ will not affect its growth, but pay attention to maintaining the amount of water in the basin.

5. Fertilization: it does not like fertilizer, so when the soil is more fertile, there is no need to apply fertilizer throughout the year.
