Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Lotus can survive without soil, but soilless cultivation is difficult, so you can choose nutrient solution to pour into water. When breeding, insert the seed lotus root obliquely into the basin and add a small amount of chemical fertilizer. Wait for autumn and winter, transplant indoors for dormancy.

1. Reason

Lotus can survive without soil, but soilless cultivation is difficult, and the cultivation effect is not ideal, resulting in difficult growth, germination and flowering. Soilless cultivation needs nutrient solution to provide nutrition for the plant, and nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium should be added to it when planting.

2. Culture method

Determine the small lotus varieties that are easy to bloom, and then choose the glass sink as the container. Lie the lotus root on the edge of the sink or on the surface of the sand during hydroponics, then press the lotus root body with coarse gravel to make the front low and the back high, then pour in clean water and add nutrient solution containing nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc., and keep watering once a week. 1-2 pots of compound sheet fertilizer can also be put into the tank every week, and the effect is also very good. If the flowers and leaves are yellow and the temperature becomes low after autumn, if you want to continue to plant lotus root, you should transplant it in a mud basin and spend the winter indoors.

3. Points for attention

Domestic lotus should be watered and should not be dehydrated, so it should be watered frequently.

The lotus likes the light, it is best to put it outdoors, or in the sun.
