Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Aloe is mainly propagated by individual plants, and it is observed that it can be carried out when lateral buds grow out. The plant is divided into several parts, dried and planted in the soil, pressed and watered. You can also use cuttings and leaf cuttings. Choose strong leaves, cut them off and dry them, then insert them into a special soil and keep them in a ventilated place.

1. Ramet propagation

The main results are as follows: (1) the growth ability of aloe is very fast, and the root system is also growing fast. After some lateral buds appear around the root, ramet propagation can be carried out.

(2) remove the plant from the container and clean up the soil around the root. Observe whether these lateral buds have matured. If it has an independent root, it means it is mature.

(3) choose the lateral bud and gently break it off. If it is mature, it can be easily broken off. Don't break it off with great force, or it won't be easy to live even if you get it off.

(4) put the lateral buds in a ventilated place to dry for a while before planting.

(5) the soil can be planted with humus and some ash can be added. Fill in part of the soil, then insert the lateral buds, and then fill in part of the soil.

(6) if you pour water thoroughly, you can survive in about a week.

2. Cuttage propagation

(1) choose strong leaves, about eight centimeters. Cut it off with a sterilized knife and leave it in a ventilated place to dry for a while. When the wound is dry, it can be cut.

(2) choose special soil, which is beneficial to the survival of cuttings. The drainage of the soil must be good, and some fine sand can be added to the soil prepared by yourself.

(3) fill the soil into the container, and then insert the leaves into the soil, about 1/3. After plugging in, put it in a well-lit and ventilated place for maintenance.
