Last Updated: 2024/11/05, Planting chestnut trees should use loose and well-drained soil, give it sufficient light during the growth period, give it a growth environment of 10-20 ℃, and water it in time after harvest to provide it with the water it needs. Breeding is usually done by sowing or grafting.

I. planting environment

1. Soil: the soil with loose texture and good drainage should be used for planting chestnut trees. Too sticky soil will affect its growth to a certain extent and cause root rot.

2. Watering: a large amount of water will be lost after harvest, and it is relatively dry in autumn and winter, so it is easy to suffer from drought, so it should be watered in time to ensure the water it needs.

3. Light: chestnut trees should receive sufficient light during the growth period, which can promote photosynthesis. If they do not receive enough light, the yield will be affected.

4. Temperature: give it a growth environment of 10-20 ℃. If the temperature is too low in winter, it will suffer frost damage. If the temperature in summer is not too high, it is easy to make it grow badly.

II. Methods of reproduction

1. Sowing and reproduction: sowing is usually carried out from March to April. Before sowing, the seeds should be sterilized with methyl thiophanate solution, and the suitable soil should be prepared and the seeds can be sowed.

2. Grafting propagation: grafting is generally carried out in August-October, split grafting is carried out 20 days before germination, leaf expansion in new shoots, after transfusion, grafting is about 20 days after budding new shoots. After grafting, it is best to bind it tightly with plastic film, which can reduce water evaporation.
