Culture method of triangulated plum
1. Soil
The soil of triangular plum needs loose and well-drained soil, and the soil should be loosened continuously during planting to avoid soil caking. It is difficult to survive in alkaline and clayey soil, so humus soil, garden soil and sandy soil are generally selected for cultivation, or pond mud is dried and part of coal cake residue is added as culture soil. Its root system is well developed, so it is recommended to change the basin once a year.
2. Lighting
Triangulated plum, native to Africa, is a light-loving plant that needs plenty of light in the growing season, otherwise it will lead to plant growth weakness. Winter should be placed in the south window, the lighting time is not less than 8 hours, otherwise it is easy to appear fallen leaves. Winter dormancy period is not sensitive to light, which can reduce light.
3. Temperature
Triangular plum likes temperature and light, and the suitable temperature for growth is 15-30 ℃. It can withstand a high temperature of about 35 ℃ in summer, but when the temperature is too high, it should be sprayed and ventilated in time, and no less than 5 ℃ should be maintained in winter, otherwise it will be forced to enter the dormancy period.
4. Moisture
When watering, "no dry, no watering, watering thoroughly", water control should be carried out before flowering, watering should be controlled in September, watering should be carried out after the basin soil is dry and the branches and leaves are soft and sagging, and normal watering should be carried out after half a month. Do not apply fertilizer during the period of water control.
5. Fertilization
In the peak growing season from April to July, fertilizers are applied every 7-10 days, with 10-20% rotten bean cake, rapeseed cake water or human feces water and so on. After August, it is mainly phosphate fertilizer, which is fertilized every 10 days, and the plant uses 20% rotten chicken, duck, pigeon dung, fish and other liquid fertilizer. Fertilizer is applied every half month since the flowering period in October.

Is triangular plum suitable for planting in the north?
Triangular plums are not suitable for outdoor planting in the north, but potted plants can be planted indoors with heating. Because it is a tropical plant, heat-resistant and not cold-resistant, in winter, the outdoor temperature in the north is difficult to meet its growth needs. However, if you put it indoors and give it the right temperature, it can also grow well in the north.
