Last Updated: 2024/11/06, There are many reasons for the rotting roots of cherry blossoms: if it is caused by overwatering, control the amount of water, and it is best to water thoroughly. If the basin soil is caused by poor drainage, it will be replaced by flowerpots with holes and well-drained soil. If the fertilizer concentration is too high, give it a low concentration of fertilizer and apply it twice a year.

1. Overwatering

Reason: often excessive watering of cherry blossoms will make its roots soaked in stagnant water for a long time, can not breathe smoothly, will lead to root decay.

Solution: the cherry blossoms can be watered properly after ripening, but the amount of water should be controlled, the soil should be kept dry, there must be no stagnant water, and it is not too late to water again after the soil dries. It is best to water thoroughly when watering. Don't stop watering until generally.

2. Poor drainage of basin soil.

Reason: if the flowerpots of cherry blossoms are not drained or the soil is poorly drained, there will be stagnant water once overwatering, which can easily lead to rotting roots.

Solution: replace the flowerpot with holes and well-drained soil, and often check whether the hole of the flowerpot is blocked, and deal with it in time after it is blocked, so as not to cause root rot caused by stagnant water.

3. High concentration of fertilizer

Reason: Cherry blossoms do not like fertilizer, when fertilizing, do not apply too thick fertilizer, or fertilizer mixing is uneven, the concentration will lead to fallen leaves, but also there will be rotten roots.

Solution: give it a low concentration of fertilizer, apply it twice a year, usually acid fertilizer, give it fully mature organic fertilizer, and give it quick-acting fertilizer as much as possible after falling flowers.
