Florist Lin, who was originally a car salesman in Taichung, has turned to growing flowers because he likes orchids. Now he has set up a greenhouse farm for orchid cultivation in the Houli area of Taichung, and introduced Dutch greenhouse cultivation technology to stabilize the quality of flowers. At present, there are nearly 100000 Phalaenopsis on the farm. Lin Jiangkai said that Taichung will hold a flower exhibition in 2018, hoping to attract more people to enjoy flowers and sightseeing, so that the world can see the beautiful flowers in Taichung.

The Taichung Municipal Bureau of Agriculture said that Lin Jiankai, who graduated from a non-agricultural department in 58, worked as a car salesman when he first entered society. He could grow orchids simply because he liked orchids. Later, he planted more and more orchids, and was introduced to the flower market to set up stalls. It opened up an opportunity to build a large orchid cultivation greenhouse farm. Because the climate in Taichung is suitable for growing flowers, and the temperature is low in winter, it can promote flowers to blossom more at 18 °C, so Lin chose Kai to rent nearly a garden on Houli Sanfeng Road, set up orchid cultivation greenhouse farm, and introduced Dutch greenhouse cultivation technology to stabilize the quality of flowers.

Lin Jiangkai has planted almost all orchids, including Oncidium, Slipper Orchid, Phalaenopsis, and so on. at present, there are nearly 100000 Phalaenopsis on the farm. I hope Taiwan can return to the glory of the "Phalaenopsis Kingdom." Lin Jiangkai said that since the growth of orchid seedlings takes a total of two years to hand over Phalaenopsis to consumers, the manpower, time, and capital invested behind it should not be underestimated, and the painstaking efforts of flower farmers are even more indescribable. It is expected that through the Taichung Flower Expo, the flowers that florists have worked hard to grow will be promoted to the world, so as to attract more people to enjoy flowers and sightseeing, and increase international exposure.
