This year, the Keelung municipal government once again cooperated with the church to plan a series of activities to celebrate Christmas, using 7000 precious bottles to form a 17-meter-high marine environmental protection Christmas tree. This is also the only and most distinctive Christmas tree in Taiwan, so that citizens can enjoy the beauty of environmental conservation while enjoying the lively Christmas atmosphere.
At the press conference on the 6th, Mayor Lin Youchang, Reverend Zhuo Zhijie, chairman of Keelung Christian United Care Association, and Ma Xianyu, director of culture, held Christmas sticks to light up miniature environmentally friendly Christmas trees, symbolizing the warm debut of a series of Christmas celebrations in Keelung. The scene also displays the delicious food cooked by the catering industry participating in this year's event, which is coveted by everyone.
Mayor Lin Youchang points out that this year's Keelung Christmas is unique and meaningful. The 17-meter marine environmentally friendly Christmas tree made up of 7000 bottles is the only and most distinctive Christmas tree in Taiwan. After it was erected in Ocean Square in the past few days, it aroused a heated discussion among passers-by.
The Keelung Christian United Care Association pointed out that the environmentally friendly Christmas tree will be on display from December 9 to January 2 next year, while traditional art lanterns and 3D pictures will be displayed at the same time. The opening night of lighting was held at 7 p.m. on December 9, and the famous Formosa Mission Jazz Orchestra was invited to bring a wonderful feast of music. There will be a series of wonderful performances in Ocean Square from December 9 to 23, inviting aboriginal dances, Hakka cultural and artistic performances, hot sound nights, magic shows, and puppet shows of the Book of Hope Troupe.
