The 2017 Taichung International Flower and blanket Festival ended successfully on the 7th. According to the statistics of Taichung City Tourism Bureau, nearly half of the tourists this year are from other counties and cities. The 16-day exhibition attracted 1.72 million visitors, breaking last year's record of 1.46 million. In addition, in order to welcome the 2018 Taichung World Flower Expo, which will open on November 3 this year, 1103 pots of grass flowers in the carpet festival exhibition were specially presented to visitors on the 7th, inviting the public to participate in the long-awaited Taichung Flower Expo.

The Taichung City Tourism Bureau said that this year's Flower and blanket Festival warmed up the Taichung Flower Expo with the theme of "listening to the Sound of Flowers." during the exhibition, tourists generally reflected that the dynamic music box of the main flower blanket "mountain cherry blossoms" was quite impressive. It also attracted many children to rush to take photos with the Huabo mascots on the hillside.

The agricultural special products marketing area planned on the spot also actively promotes agricultural special products such as high-quality and safe fruits and vegetables, flowers and processed products in Taichung. During the 16-day exhibition period, the sales amount reached 12.2 million yuan. In addition, the turnover of the gourmet marketing area is also nearly 31.5 million yuan. The Tour Bureau also estimates that the overall flower and blanket festival can create a tourism output value of more than 1.1 billion yuan.

The Taichung City Tourism Bureau said that the grass flowers planted at the Flower and blanket Festival will be turned into green manure after the end of flowering, and nearly 100000 pots of grass flowers will be given away to tourists. Apart from giving 1103 pots to tourists, they will also be collected by local authorities, schools, and neighbors to beautify the public space and continue the beautification benefits of grass flowers.
