The opening ceremony of "Nantou International Sand Sculpture Art and Culture Park" will be held at 10:30 a.m. on January 28 (Sunday) in the park, which is the only sand sculpture initiative in China that is not located near the sea.
In the early days of 2018, let us once again use Taiwan's rare salt-free and earthy "Nantou Golden River Sand" to create the only sand sculpture art tribe in the world that does not need to be exposed to the sun. We will tell the story of Nantou in the most environmentally friendly and natural sand sculpture art, full of joy and history, humanities and art. County magistrate Lin Mingqin attaches importance to tourism and said that 2018 is a prosperous year and the tenth year since Nantou had sand carving art in 2009. In order to actively develop the cultural characteristics of Nantou County and create an international-level sand carving art recreation tourism space, this year sand carving will be combined with lighting to show different characteristics of sand carving works, so that visitors can have a bright eye.
The 2018 Sand Sculpture Park curates nine areas, including the entrance image, the light of Nantou, seeing Nantou, the art of eternity, the leap of the world, environmental protection to save disaster, re-evolution, hope dreams, sand sculpture competition and creative DIY area. The works are displayed in international specifications. At the same time, more than 20 sand sculptors from Japan, Korea, Canada, China and Taiwan are invited to create, including the Statue of Liberty, the Roman Coliseum, the Sphinx, and the scenery of Nantou Tea Garden... Each work is full of fineness, and at the same time, the parent-child DIY area is arranged to let the public not only see the sand, but also let the children get close to nature. I believe this sand carving work will make people exclaim repeatedly.
