Taiwan has a rich variety of orchid species and abundant breeding energy, and commercial varieties bring forth the new, laying the foundation for orchid marketing in the world. However, due to the fact that all kinds of orchids are scattered among the people, the industry lacks the collection, detection and management mechanism of core varieties. It indirectly affects the overall management strategy of variety layout and rights protection, in order to establish a core species protection mechanism and promote variety trading. In 106, the Council of Agriculture instructed the Tainan Municipal Government to set up an "Orchid Variety Commercial Service Center" in Taiwan Orchid Biotechnology Park. in the future, through variety preservation, physiological testing, label certification, shipping storage and transportation testing, overseas trial planting, new variety display, marketing, global distribution of intellectual property rights and market information research and collection and other services, Taiwan orchids will once again enhance their industrial competitiveness through the integration and services of soft power.

The Council of Agriculture said that Taiwan is the hometown of Phalaenopsis. Thanks to the joint efforts of industry, government, education, and research, Taiwan has created a good reputation and miracle of the Phalaenopsis Kingdom. The annual output value of orchids in Taiwan in 105 years was nearly 6.2 billion yuan, and the export value reached US $178.34 million, an increase of twice as much as the export value of US $56.48 million in 1995. Phalaenopsis exports totaled US $139.87 million, accounting for 78% of the total orchid export value, and has become a flag product for export.

The Council of Agriculture pointed out that in recent years, under the leadership of the Orchid Biotechnology Park and the annual Taiwan International Orchid Exhibition, although the export advantage of the orchid industry is still strong, the competitiveness of the orchid industry urgently needs to be reintegrated and strengthened. In order to maintain excellent orchid species and allow breeders to communicate and create commercial varieties with market value, the association instructed the Tainan Municipal Government to set up a "Orchid Variety Commercial Service Center". In the future, it will integrate the preservation, trial planting, display, marketing, intellectual property layout, infringement cooperation and information services of varieties, guide the international distribution of Taiwan orchid varieties and optimize the industrial supply chain. Re-lead the world trend of orchid breeding and consumption.
