The Lunar New Year is approaching, Chiayi County for the county food safety control, so that people eat at ease, Xiao Bao Guan No. 8 led the health bureau political style, inspectors to traditional markets, hypermarkets and other places of sale to carry out the New Year food labeling and source inspection of food sold, check items include: bacon sausage, dried aquatic products, rice cake products, pickled vegetables, dried beans, mushrooms, melon seeds, peanuts, shrimp, preserved fruit, candy and so on.

A total of 775 items were checked by the Health Bureau, of which 4 items did not match the label (unqualified rate 0.5%). The tracing sources were all from other counties and cities, and they would be transferred to the Health Bureau under their jurisdiction for further processing. The Health Bureau pointed out that food labeling should comply with the provisions of the Food Safety and Hygiene Management Law. If it fails to comply with the provisions, in addition to being removed from the shelf for correction, it can be fined up to 3 million yuan.

Cai Shuzhen, acting director of the Health Bureau, reminded consumers that when purchasing New Year's food, such as pickled, dried goods and aquatic products, they should choose food close to the original color of the food, not bright or too white, pay attention to whether the packaged food has complete labels, and when selecting bulk New Year's food, such as shredded squid, dried beef and candy, in addition to paying attention to whether the product is clean and dry, pay attention to whether the product is covered for sale, whether the operator wears gloves or uses clean utensils to take it, so as to prevent the food from being infected by disease vectors, dust, Droplet or bacterial contamination.

Acting director Tsai Shu-chen says that after food is opened, it should be eaten as soon as possible, and it should be stored in accordance with the recommended method of packaging, or according to the characteristics of the food itself to choose the appropriate storage temperature and method, and should pay attention to whether the environment of the place of sale is clean and hygienic, and whether the product is properly frozen or refrigerated according to the label.
