Double season red raspberry

Double-season red raspberry, a kind of raspberry, a new raspberry variety successfully introduced and bred by Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences from abroad.

The current year's branches are green, the 2-year-old branches are yellowish brown, and the branches are densely spiny.

The fruit is bright red, semi-spherical, the average fruit weight is about 10 grams, the largest single fruit is 16.3 grams, the fresh fruit contains 12.8% soluble solids, 1.41% titratable acid, 25 milligrams of vitamin C per 100 grams, 22 milligrams of calcium per 100 grams, berries, sweet and sour taste, slightly aroma, very suitable for fresh food, processing fruit juices and making jam and so on.

Early fruit is fruitful. Under general conditions, annual branches can form flower buds at the top and blossom and bear fruit.

The berries begin to ripen in early July, but can be harvested until frost. The output is higher.

The annual fruiting rate can reach 90%. Based on the row spacing of 0.4 × 0.6m, the annual garden has a yield of 125kg per mu, and the biennial garden has an average yield of 1300 kg per mu, which has increased year by year and has been in full fruit for more than 30 years.

Strong cold resistance. It is safe to survive the winter at minus 35 degrees in winter.

The harvest time is long. In addition to the biennial fruiting branches, the annual branches issued from the ground can also blossom and bear fruit. It matures from mid-June and lasts until the frost falls.

Growing environment

For sandy loam, the PH value of soil is required to be 6.5 and 7.0.

Source

New raspberry varieties were introduced and selected successfully by Chinese Academy of Forestry Sciences from abroad.

Reproduction method

Use root evil to breed.

Cultivation techniques

The main results are as follows: 1. Establishment and cultivation: sandy soil should be selected to build a garden, and the soil PH value should be 6.5 and 7.0; in spring and autumn, the planting ditch should be planted with a depth and width of more than 0.5m, a row spacing of 2.0m × 0.3m, and 1110 seedlings per mu. It is best to apply sufficient base fertilizer at one time.

Soak the seedling root in water for 4 hours before planting, and the cultivation method is very simple: dig the pit according to the length, width and depth of 10mur15cm, unfold the seedling root into the pit, and step on the soil; the key point is: the seedling root and the soil around the seedling should not exceed the original watermark of the seedling in the nursery; where there are conditions, do not rain and water thoroughly or cover the plastic film after planting to ensure the survival rate.

2. Management of growing period: the management of general weeding, watering and loosening soil is needed in the planting year, which can blossom and bear fruit in the autumn of the same year, harvest the fruit on the 2-year-old branch in July of the following year, cut off the fruiting mother branch from the base after harvest, and harvest the fruit on the one-year-old branch germinated in the same year from August to September.

3. Overwintering and cold prevention: in the northern cold zone with heavy wind and little snow, biennial branches should be buried to prevent flower buds from being frozen and branches drained.

When burying the soil before freezing, press and bind the selected branches in one direction, then bury the soil (about 15 cm thick) tightly, remove the cold-proof soil and tie it on the shelf after thawing the following spring.
