New Taipei City is rich in organic green onions. The secret of preserving fresh green is made public.

Recently, organic green onions are delicious and at ease. As long as consumers master the tips for preservation, they can buy more value for money.

Tseng Lin-chuan, who is in his sixties, worked for the Taiwan Railway for more than 40 years. Immediately after his retirement, he devoted himself to his father's farmland and expanded it to an area of 0.7 hectares. Playing in the fields when he was a child, he was no stranger to farming. After retirement, he recalled his childhood memories and returned to his hometown of Haoshan and Haoshui to grow organic yams, green onions and vegetables. Zeng Linchuan said that his "mink onions" are particularly spicy and fragrant, and even if the weather gets hotter, they will not grow worms. Unlike Ilan Sanxing onions, the green parts of "mink onions" are soft, white, spicy and sweet, and there is enough water. It can not only be used as a general seasoning, but also can be directly fried as a dish.

Spring onions are generally used in seasoning, which is a headache in preservation, but as long as you master some small steps of preservation, you can avoid the dilemma of freezing to yellow. Lin Wenyi, director of the Ruifang area Farmers' Association, said that before buying it home for sub-packaging, if you do not want to use it, do not wash it with water, first cut off the yellowed and rotten parts, wrap them in a newspaper and cover them with a plastic bag, and fold the tip of the onions into the plastic bag for cold storage. It can be preserved for about 6 days.

The New Taipei City Bureau of Agriculture said that in order to encourage farmers to participate in organic production, the municipal government provides subsidies, including land rental, verification, organic fertilizers, agricultural machinery, warm-net rooms, and production materials, which can be applied to the peasant associations. It also helps mediate farmers to get their crops into small farmers' shops and farmers' bazaars around the world, and good products are seen by everyone.
