New Taipei Mayor Zhu Lilun said that the city government has entered the 10th year of promoting industrial tourism this year. At present, there are 23 sightseeing factories and industrial cultural centers in New Taipei City, with various operating features and types. Many themes are unique in the country and are only available in New Taipei City. By the end of April this year, New Taipei City has one international highlight tourism factory and four excellent tourism factories selected by the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and six other foreign language tour guides. The Development Bureau added that after the traditional manufacturing industry has been transformed into a sightseeing factory or industrial cultural center over the years, in addition to preserving industrial value and enhancing brand awareness, the turnover can be increased by at least 20% on average.
