International cartoonists gather New North Mayor Zhu Lilun: continue to support the comic book industry
2018 the 17th ICC International Cartoon artists Conference was held in New Taipei City from yesterday (13) to 16. Mayor Zhu Lilun pointed out that in recent years, New Taipei City has continued to support cartoon-related industrial activities, including the Animation Festival, games and audio-visual industry. It is honored to become the host city this year to host cartoon masters from all over the world, and welcome you to know more about New Taipei City.
Mayor Chu Lilun said that comics enrich people's lives and promote the development of cultural creation and the animation industry. He hopes that through the conference, cartoonists from all over the world will learn from each other and learn from each other. I also look forward to seeing more outstanding creations and achievements in the future.
The theme of this year's conference is "Cartoon New North." the sky lantern prays for blessings. Tomorrow, nearly 200 cartoonists from all over the world will gather in Pingxi, a city famous for sky lanterns, to draw a giant sky lantern installation art as high as three meters high, leaving unlimited creativity and blessings in Taiwan, and symbolizing the everlasting friendship among the cartoon circles of various countries. Mayor Zhu Lilun expressed the hope that Pingxi sky lanterns and Xinbei scenic spots can inspire cartoonists and create more extraordinary works.
Lai Youxian, chairman of the Taipei Comics Union, pointed out that this year is the fourth time that Taiwan has become the host country. More than 100 cartoonists from various countries have gathered in Xinbei, including Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Chinese mainland, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and other countries to participate in the grand event, hoping to entertain cartoonists from all countries to feel the beauty of the island with the enthusiasm of Taiwan's cartoon industry.
