Li Tuizhi, vice chairman of the Council of Agriculture, said at a press conference on the 25th that APP has been online for more than two months, and nearly 200 farmers have logged in to use it, hoping to expand the scale.
Li Tuizhi: expanding the supplement of diversified labor force
As for the introduction of foreign labor, Li explained that he tried to sign working holiday agreements with various countries in the new South, such as Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia. Before introducing foreign labor, how should Taiwan solve the problem of labor shortage? Li Tuizhi stressed that in addition to labor-saving machinery and mechanical farming groups, "we should find ways to liberate the local labor force." This year, the Council of Agriculture expanded its measures to supplement the diversified labor force, including agricultural technology missions, agricultural farming groups, and agricultural professional groups (tea leaf group, animal husbandry group, mushroom group, guava group and facility cooperation group).

Increase agricultural income and retain people who want to farm
"We need to find a way to keep people who want to farm." Li Tuizhi stressed that in the future, the website of "Agricultural Human Resources platform" and the APP function of "good helpers for lack of agricultural work" will be integrated to properly dispatch the labor force. It is expected that agricultural income can be raised in the future, and combined with social needs, reverse the status of agriculture, so that young people are willing to choose to enter agriculture.
