Build a three-level system and develop forest tourism in an all-round way

Guizhou Forestry Department and Provincial Tourism Development Commission jointly issued opinions on speeding up the development of forest tourism. It is suggested that by 2020, the comprehensive income of forest tourism will be more than 300 billion yuan, accounting for more than 30% of the province's total tourism income. Guizhou Province has basically formed a forest tourism three-level system with forests, wetlands and mountain parks as the main nodes, forest tourism demonstration counties, forest characteristic towns, forest rehabilitation bases and forest experience bases as important carriers, and forest cities, forest towns, forest villages and forest families as the basic context.

According to the reporter's understanding, Guizhou is rich in forestry resources, with a forest coverage rate of 55.3 percent, a forest area of 146 million mu, and a forest accumulation of 417 million cubic meters, with huge space for industrial development. The opinion is clear that we will vigorously develop sightseeing agriculture and leisure agriculture based on forest resources through three major ways: developing forest tourism + leisure tourism, developing forest tourism + recreation, and developing forest tourism + sports. Cultivate creative tourism projects such as forest pastoral art and forest agronomy. By 2020, 100 new parks of various levels will be built. We will promote the application and construction of forest tourism demonstration counties, forest characteristic towns, forest rehabilitation bases and forest experience bases. by 2020, the province will create 10 forest tourism demonstration counties, 30 forest characteristic towns, and 100 forest rehabilitation bases. there are 15 forest experience bases. We will promote the construction of forest cities and build seven state-level forest cities, 30 provincial-level forest cities, 50 forest townships, 500 forest villages and 5000 forest families by 2020.

In order to strengthen the protection of forest landscape resources, Guizhou Province will actively carry out centralized renovation of the styles and features along the routes of forest tourism scenic spots in the future, implement forest phase transformation, forest tending, cultivation of rare tree species and other projects, and comprehensively optimize the ecological environment of forest tourism. At the same time, strengthen the protection of natural ecology, pastoral scenery, traditional villages, history and culture, national culture and other resources.

In addition, it is suggested that on the basis of increasing the scale of receiving tourists in the province's forest tourist scenic spots, it will further promote local employment and drive the surrounding poor people to shake off poverty and become rich.
