A good photographer is not an orchid expert, what he shares is nothing but his own practice. The pot of Chunlan in the picture below was treated on December 22 last year, when a netizen said: don't bother, throw it away. I cover my roots with pure moss, and now there are new seedlings. If you are interested, you can have a look at them.

Here are three pots of spring orchids, which were taken by a local orchid friend, because last summer was too dry, which caused the orchids to dry up. He asked the farmer to help. I trimmed the roots of the three pots of orchids with a big knife, and then reprepared the plant material, and only one pot was covered with pure moss.

Because it is trimmed on the basin in winter, so there is no special shade, it is put on the balcony. From the end of last year to the present, the low temperature in winter has not been kept warm. Watering is a natural law (Rain Water). The whole process is artificial only by pruning the roots and pots, and the rest depends on natural conditions.

The plant materials of these two orchids are mainly pine shell and pecan shell, mixed with a small amount of humus soil. Now it seems that the pot of pure moss has the least seedling, with only one new seedling, and the other two pots are out of imagination. Among them, three strong seedlings were born in a pot of two old seedlings.

These two pictures are the Chunlan treated at that time. Are you going to throw them away when you see such orchids? It took half a year for the farmer to record the whole process, and felt that there were several points that were more important, so he wrote it to share with Lan friends.

First, these orchids are affected by drought, not water damage. If the roots are rotten by water damage, they will certainly not be able to save life.

Second, the proportion of plant materials is suitable for this kind of orchid, which may be close to the native soil on their mountain.

Third, the placement environment, has been in the balcony, good ventilation. In the past six months, there is no fertilization and spraying, which is equivalent to stocking.

Fourth, the more important link, which has not been tossed about in the past half a year, orchids are actually very afraid of tossing, and some anxious orchids often turn pots, which is not good for the growth of orchids.

In the future, if you encounter such orchids again, you can stop throwing them away and try to take good pictures of farmers. It won't be long before you can get back a strong new orchid.
