Performance and Cultivation Techniques of Water-saving and Drought Resistant Rice "Hanyou 73" in Anxiang County

At present, the prices of cash crops such as cotton and vegetables in Anxiang County of Hunan Province are declining, and it is not convenient for mechanized operation, so the economic benefit is not high, while the market for planting rice is relatively good. Many farmers want to change dry land into paddy field, but they are worried that water source cannot be guaranteed. In this case, planting water-saving and drought-resistant rice is the best of both worlds. Upland rice has been introduced for trial planting in Anxiang County since 2009. By 2017, 366.7 hm2 of upland rice has been planted accumulatively, with an average yield of about 400 kg per 667 m2. Some farmers exceed 500 kg, but their water demand is only 30%~50% of that of ordinary rice, which is equivalent to that of corn planting. In Anxiang County, water demand can be met basically by rain. This paper introduces the performance and cultivation techniques of water-saving and drought-resistant rice "Hanyou 73" in Anxiang County as follows:

1. Characteristics of Hanyou 73

"Hanyou 73" is a new water-saving and drought-resistant rice variety jointly developed by Shanghai City Agricultural Biology Gene Center and Shanghai Tiangu Biological Science and Technology Co., Ltd., with the approval number of 2014024. The drought resistance of this variety is 1 grade, the whole growth period is 123 days, the average plant height is 105 cm, the panicle length is 26 cm, the effective panicle per 667 m 2 is 190 000, the dry tube grain number per panicle of water seed is 137, the seed setting rate is 86%, the 1000-grain weight is 27 g, and the aspect ratio is 86%.

3.3, compact plant shape, strong tillering power, stout stems, slightly wider leaves, high resistance to bacterial blight, rice false smut, moderate resistance to rice blast, late color drop good. The rice quality is Grade III of the National High Quality Rice Standard.

2. Planting performance of Hanyou 73 in Anxiang County

In 2015, the water-saving and drought-resistant rice "Hanyou 73" was introduced by the author and planted in 4 groups in Lianmeng Village, Chenjiazui Town, with an area of 1 668 m2 and an average yield of 650 kg per 667 m2. In 2016, the author demonstrated and cultivated "Hanyou 73" 6.7 hm2 in Tangjiagang Village Base of Safety Township, with an average yield of 510.5 kg per 667 m2.

3 Key points of cultivation techniques

3.1 soil preparation

All dry land should be well ridged to retain water.

3.1.1 After rain or irrigation, use a cultivator to flatten all the seeds, and then sow the seeds with good buds (broken breasts and exposed white) manually and evenly.

3.1.2 Dry sowing dry tube first dry field rotary tillage leveling, seed grain (broken chest exposed white) mixed with seed coating, and then artificial sowing, and then with rotary tiller shallow rotary seed coating.

3.2 fertilizer and water management

Before rotary tillage, 50 kg carbamine, 50 kg calcium superphosphate or 40 kg compound fertilizer should be applied per 667 m2 in dry land, and a certain amount of organic fertilizer can be added. 2~3 leaf stage, see seedling topdressing tiller fertilizer, topdressing available urea or compound fertilizer.

3.3 Sowing time and amount

This variety can be sown in Anxiang County (North Hunan) from May 5 to June 15. 2 kg seeds were sown per 667 m2 for water-sown dry tube and 2.5 kg seeds per 667 m2 for dry-sown dry tube.

3.4 chemical weeding

3.4.1 Pre-emergence weeding Pre-emergence weeding means closed weeding. 1~2 days after sowing, use 125 mL of batroxobin (butachlor) plus 30 g of bensulfuron methyl every 667 m2, spray with 30 kg of water, dry planting and control underground pests such as cutworm, etc., and add meprazole or special chemicals for killing underground pests to the above chemicals.

3.4.2 Weeding in tillering stage, three leaves and one heart stage, spray Han Qiuhao 100 g or Wei Daofu 100 mL mixed with water 30 kg per 667 m2.

3.5 bingchong prevention

Focus on the control of rice thrips, rice leaf roller, rice stem borer, planthopper, sheath blight, rice blast and other pests. At the 2~3 leaf stage, 40 g of 10% imidacloprid mixed with 30 kg of water was sprayed every 667 m2 to control rice thrips. At tillering stage, rice leaf roller was sprayed with 30 kg water mixed with 2 packets of rice teng2 every 667m2. At the booting stage (about 25 days after the last application), 2 packets of rice teng +10 g of syzymidone +10 g of amamiacol were sprayed once or twice with water every 667m2 to control leaf roller, Chilo suppressalis, planthopper and sheath blight.
