Recently, there have been private letters asking Xiaobian what kind of flowers to grow in summer. In the past, I often chose one of the summer "special" flowers such as hanging basket, green pineapple, rose and petunia as a reference answer. but now there is a new option, that is, hydrangea. Blooming and sprouting are the biggest characteristics of this ornamental plant, and it also has unique skills in planting. If you want to plant a hydrangea at home, then don't miss today's article.

Today we would like to introduce hydrangea tips is "cutting", compared with the traditional planting, cutting is not only omitted in the steps, and the survival rate of hydrangea will be much higher, we usually buy hydrangea in the flower shop, in fact, a large part of the hydrangea is cultivated successfully through cutting, so if you master this technology, then at least you can save a lot of money.

So how on earth should it be cut? First of all, if we want to give hydrangea cuttings, we need to know the time and methods of cutting. In terms of time, February hydrangea sprouts in theory can be counted as the cutting period, but the best season is now in June, a more important reason is the higher the temperature in June, and the higher the temperature, the higher the survival rate of plant cutting. generally speaking, the flowering period of hydrangea is from April to June, so in order not to affect the viewing, you can also carry out cutting after the end of the flowering period, and the effect is equally outstanding.

Choose a healthy, strong Hydrangea branch with a length of about 15cm. In order to prevent a large amount of water from being consumed in the rooting process, you can cut off the excess leaves on the branch and cut a slope under the branch with sterilized scissors. You can apply some rooting powder to the bottom of hydrangea branches, and then put it in a cool and ventilated place to dry the wound. The cutting temperature should be kept at about 15 ℃.

After the cuttings are ready, the soil can be prepared. Generally speaking, it can be permeable and fertile. The cuttage culture soil of a single branch does not need too much. It can be filled with several plastic bottles respectively. Remember to water once before insertion to ensure the wettability of the soil. When you are ready, insert the pre-prepared cuttings. Put a tray on the bottom of the basin, put some water in the tray, and the cutting process is mainly moisturizing. Often spray water to moisturize the line, do not enlarge in the sun, shady place, the temperature is too high is not good, the best temperature between 25 ℃-30 ℃.

In the following period of time, as long as we ensure the humidity in the cutting, the branches will take root in about half a month, and then transfer them to a large basin for planting. In fact, on the whole, the method is still very simple. Interested friends might as well take action from now on and plant your own hydrangea.
