1: soak the seeds

2: remove the film and prepare the soil

After soaking overnight, the film can be removed with gauze or cloth; after removing the film (figure 2), there is only a hard inner shell that cannot be broken by hand. 3: sowing, soil covering and mulching

If you sprinkle the seeds on the surface of the soil, you can cover the seeds with a thin layer of soil, of course, without covering the thin soil. However, do not cover too thick, it may sprout slowly or rot away. Next, sprinkle some water to make the soil moist, finally cover with a layer of cloth (figure 3), and put the seedlings under the tree or in a cool place. The purpose of covering cloth (preferably black shading net) is to shade and moisturize. If the temperature is high in summer, it may be no problem. In winter, heat preservation and moisturizing are very important. The optimum temperature for papaya germination is about 25 degrees Celsius.

4: moderate watering, waiting for germination
