Before giving gifts, the calendar mother also prepared what everyone liked_"What do my frog neighbors like to eat" to break the dimension wall super large inventory, both knowledge and strategy. Let's read the article first.

From Japanese to Chinese versions, visiting neighbors in the Frog Courtyard have always provoked widespread discussion. As the game progresses, you need to choose different delicacies to entertain different small animals, and these animal friends will repay your generosity. So, what do these friends like to eat?

First look at the Japanese version:

1. snail

As the collection progresses, the first friend to visit is the snail "Meimei". Judging from the patterned flat shell on the right roll, Meimei's model may be Euhadra peliomphala, a common three-headed snail in Japan. In the game, Meimei's favorite foods are rice, cheese, milk and hot spring steamed bread. Hmm…it doesn't look like something an ordinary snail can easily find in nature.

In addition to specialty snacks, Meimei also accepts water, onions, garlic, onions, peppers, Chinese onion and cabbage, which is very consistent with the real snail diet.

Snails are a general term for land snails, and they have a structure in their mouths called a tooth tongue. As the name suggests, it is a tongue full of teeth. When eating, the teeth and tongues will turn out, scraping and swallowing food, especially suitable for eating juicy plant stems and leaves, even onions, garlic and other pungent vegetables.

However, not all snails are vegetarian like Mei Mei. For example, Euglandina rosea, a rose snail that has become a worldwide invasive creature, is a carnivorous species that preys on other mollusks.

2. bees

After collecting a few more names, the bees "buzz" to the frog's yard to play. Ignoring specialty foods, Buzz loves strawberries, mangoes, peaches, bananas, chestnuts, apples and water. This setting is more subtle. Chestnuts, a high-starch nut, are not in the bee's diet. The remaining sweet fruits may attract bees, but they are not their daily staple food.

There are two types of bees commonly found in Japan: Apis cerana, a Japanese subspecies of Apis cerana, and Apis mellifera, a western bee introduced from Europe and America.

Their feeding habits are similar, all pollen, nectar and honey brewed by worker bees. The nectar is mainly sugar, which is the plant's means of attracting pollinators. After the worker bees collect the nectar, they store it in a structure called honey sac in the digestive tract and bring it back to the hive, where enzymes convert it into honey with higher sugar content. Honeybees in hives mostly eat honey, and the queen bee and the larvae that will develop into queen bees feed on royal jelly, which is secreted from the mouths of worker bees that are specifically responsible for nurturing.

In the game, the most suitable food for bees is actually water. Indeed, all animals need to replenish water, but only bees live in a relatively dry land environment among the three neighbors who visit the door and will specifically go to the water source to drink water. So, in reality, if you want bees to visit your yard, you just need to plant flowers; if you want bees to settle in your artificial nest box, you'd better have clean water nearby.

3. stone turtle

The last one to visit is "drift", in the game it is the most picky food, in addition to specialty snacks and water, the most favorite things to eat is tea, followed by onion, persimmon and chestnut.

According to the actual distribution, it is more likely that the floating stone turtle is Mauremys japonica. The Japanese stone turtle is endemic to Japan. It is omnivorous. It mainly lives in water and near the water. When it meets something to eat, whether it is an animal or a plant, it will eat it. If it was really given onions, chestnuts and persimmons, it should not refuse, tea is not so good to say. In captivity, a certain proportion of animal food needs to be supplemented in order to keep them healthy.

Here's the Chinese version that everyone's been playing lately:

1. turtle

The first friend to appear is called "sleepy". From the perspective of distribution and color of back armor, it belongs to a different genus from Japan's drifting family. It is Chinemys reevesii.

The Chinese grass turtle is light in color when it is young, but it will grow darker and sometimes close to black, so it is called turtle. It used to be very common in our country, and the name "turtle" has become a generic term for freshwater turtles. However, due to habitat changes and the threat of invasive alien organisms, Chinese grass turtles are now endangered, and wild populations are at higher risk of extinction than giant pandas.

In the game, Sleepy likes to eat chili, onion, garlic. In reality, Chinese grass turtles are omnivorous freshwater turtles and basically eat everything. However, they tend to be carnivorous when they are young and like to eat shellfish and fish. When they are adults, they will eat more plants.

2. owl

The second friend, Fatty, although he looked like a penguin carrying luggage, was not a penguin, but an owl. His favorite food was not cheese, chestnuts, or tea, but meat.

There are more than 30 kinds of owls in our country. What kind of fat owl is it? The owl order consists of two families. From the face, the round-faced fat one should belong to the owl family. The absence of long ear feathers on its head, combined with its body color, suggests that it is most likely one of the short-eared owl Asio flammeus, gray owl Strix aluco, or long-tailed owl Strix uralensis.

The short-eared owl and grey owl are medium-sized owls, while the long-tailed owl is larger. Their main food is insects, birds and voles, rabbits and other small mammals.

3. squirrel

When the souvenir collection reaches six, Squirrel "Jump" will appear in Frog's yard. From the fur on his ears, Tipper was Sciurus vulgaris, but from the stripes on his back, he was Eutamias sibiricus.

In the game, Tiao Tiao loves to eat strawberries, bananas, apples, mangoes and chestnuts, which is basically consistent with the feeding habits of Eurasian red squirrels and chipmunks in reality.

Eurasian red squirrels eat berries, sprouts, insects and fungi. They especially like to eat pine nuts in autumn and winter. They will take the initiative to pick pine nuts from pine towers to eat. Eurasian red squirrels also have the habit of storing food, burying food that they temporarily don't eat, and can rely on spatial memory to retrieve it later.

Chipmunks eat similar foods to Eurasian red squirrels, but they are more active on the ground and eat more herbs. Although he loves to eat pine nuts, he usually doesn't pick them himself, but finds them on the ground to eat. Chipmunks also prefer meat to Eurasian red squirrels, and eat more insects and earthworms than Eurasian red squirrels.
