"Xiaofei" is a dreamer who is persistent for the lotus palm. He wrote down some of his experience of the mage and authorized the encyclopedia of succulent plants to push, hoping to popularize the knowledge of lotus palms to the domestic meat friends through the influence of the encyclopedia platform. Don't let the novice mage walk through the pit he walked through, so he has the following series of mage maintenance knowledge!

Hello, friends, I am Xiaofei. Today Xiaofei continues to talk about this mage grafting, mainly to talk about this affixing in detail, because the last article "Xiaofei talking about mage grafting" may not be very detailed, and then some friends asked Xiaofei to recommend an easier grafting method. Therefore, Xiaofei personally felt that this peeling patch was very easy to use and easy to use. The survival rate is high, so today Xiaofei will focus on talking about it, but this posting is only one of the many grafting methods, not necessarily the best way, but Xiaofei personally thinks it is the easiest to use, all right, let go!

Before reading this, friends must first understand the last article, and must first read this article "Xiaofei talking about mage endowment".

Other what, Xiaofei is not repeated, directly on the grafting process, some of the process because it was not photographed at that time, in order to facilitate partners to learn, some of the pictures are made up later!

First, do not peel and paste

Choose the rootstock you want to graft, choose the right position and height, and behead.

The wound should be cut flat, and the main structures of the stem should be indicated after the cut. In order to facilitate understanding, Xiaofei can only roughly express as follows.

The cut-off head can be reserved for cutting and propagation.

In the vertical direction, the cut is about 3cm, and the thickness is based on the phloem, and the phloem is cut as deep as it is.

Then gently use the tip of the knife or directly with the hand to open the phloem and wood to facilitate the insertion of the scion later.

Since my tree is to be grafted with three scions, Xiaofei made three cuts, and the number of cuts depends on how many scions the partner wants to graft.

Prepare the scion to be grafted

As shown in the picture, the two books are cut to a sharp shape

Then insert the cut scion into the rootstock, but it is best to align the scion with the vertical wound of the rootstock. After inserting it, tie it with plastic film or tape or rope. ")"

Because the rootstock only opens the phloem and wood, in any case, the cambium of the scion must come into contact with the cambium of the rootstock, so it ensures the prerequisite for survival and the survival rate is very high.

The following month, after the membrane was removed, the wound looked like

And began to grow.

Four months later

2. Peeling and pasting

Prepare the rootstock, the site to be grafted, and cut the wound flat.

At this time, you can clearly see the phloem, xylem and other parts, as shown below.

According to the size and diameter of the scion, select the site to be grafted on the rootstock.

Cut two strips vertically about the length of 3cm, remember that the width of the two knife marks must be based on the width of the scion size, the thickness of the phloem shall prevail, and the phloem will be cut as deep as it is.

Then use the knife tip or hand to separate the phloem from the wood.

Cut off the excess phloem, leaving only 0.5cm or so.

When the rootstock is ready, then prepare the scion, and cut one side of the scion diagonally, with a length of about 0.5--1cm.

The other side cuts off a layer straight according to the length of the opening in the rootstock.

The situation on both sides is as follows

See this little friend has found that peeling and non-peeling affixing, whether scion and rootstock treatment are some differences.

The difference in scion treatment is as follows: the scion on the left is peeled and pasted.

Rootstock treatment, one is peeling, the other is not peeling, open a knife in the vertical direction, only break it

Then, as shown in the picture, insert the scion into the interface of the rootstock, and then tie it tightly with plastic film or rope. Xiaofei finds that whether sealing the wound has no effect on the success of grafting.

Since Xiaofei grafted two branches on the same tree, another one was grafted in the same way opposite the rootstock in the same position.

The following picture shows what the wound looks like three months after grafting.

Well, the above is the process of Xiaofei's own method of mage grafting. I don't know if my friends understand, but this grafting method has both advantages and disadvantages compared with other methods such as cutting and splitting.

Advantages:

Simple, easy to learn, easy to use, high survival rate

Multi-branch scions can be grafted on the same stock.

Disadvantages:

The wound is even more ugly than other methods.

There are limitations, the size of the scion must be much smaller than the rootstock, that is to say, it is only suitable for grafting the scion of the twig to the rootstock of the big branch.

The following picture shows the comparison of splicing, splicing, peeling and non-peeling.

Thank you for watching, the article is not easy to create, friends' likes and support can make Xiaofei go further! I wonder if the little friend who has finished patiently has learned it. Warm Tip: the best time for grafting is autumn, winter and spring. That is, the growth period!

The above is only Xiaofei's personal point of view and summary, no one is perfect, there may be many shortcomings, I hope you correct, a person's power is limited! Xiaofei is not a grafting god, he just simply shares what he knows. If you have any other opinions, you are welcome to leave a message and exchange.
