The focal tip of orchid is a very common orchid disease, although this problem does not have much impact on the normal growth of orchids, but after all, Jiaojian is not beautiful, which will greatly reduce the mountain viewing value of orchids, that is, it gives a lot of flower friends a real headache.

Generally speaking, there are two reasons for the focal tip of orchids, one is the improper surrounding environment, such as improper fertilization, too strong light, too little humidity, etc., and the other is caused by diseases, such as viruses, germs, pests and so on.

Improper management

1. Excessive fertilization

The proportion of fertilizer applied to orchids is strictly restricted. if the concentration exceeds the standard, the excess nutrients in the orchid will condense at the top of the orchid leaves, resulting in the focal tip of the orchid.

Solution: for the orchid editor, I suggest that it is best to clean up, do not use a high concentration of fertilizer, do not spray any hormones, usually the nutrients provided by watering the orchid is enough to support its normal growth.

If you think your orchid needs fertilization, you can apply some thin fertilizer or use some slow-release fertilizer.

2. Insufficient humidity

The focal tip of orchid is often related to the water supply in the environment, if the water supply is insufficient, it is easy to cause the focal tip of orchid.

The coke tip is not only underwatered and the soil in the basin is too dry, but also has a lot to do with low air humidity. When there is an imbalance between water supply and demand in the leaves of orchids, it is easy to lead to the scorched tip of orchids.

Solution: if the orchid is maintained indoors, this is unlikely to happen, but if the orchid is kept outdoors, the orchid is likely to become scorched due to the poor humidity of the outdoor air.

In this case, it is necessary to immediately cut off the scorched leaves, and then spray some water into the air around the orchid to improve the air humidity.

3. Improper lighting

If you do not pay attention to proper shading in summer, the sunlight intensity received by orchids will be too high, causing the leaves to be scorched.

Accordingly, if the orchid is kept in a shady place for a long time, the leaves of the orchid will become thin and weak, and when the orchid is exposed to sunlight, the leaves are likely to zoom immediately.

Solution: orchids must be given proper sunlight, too little or too little is not conducive to its normal growth, can be maintained in places with astigmatism, pay attention to proper shading in summer, and can be maintained in the sun in the weak spring and autumn season.

4. Watering problem

If it is not properly watered, it may cause a lot of situations that are not conducive to the growth of orchids, which in turn lead to the scorched tips of orchids. For example, too much watering, underwatering, or spraying in strong light can lead to the scorched tip of orchids.

If the water quality used to water the flowers is polluted, it will also cause the scorched tip of the orchid.

Solution: watering is a key link in the cultivation of orchids. In the process of maintaining orchids, attention should be paid to watering flowers at an appropriate time and using normal water quality, and the amount of water used should be strictly controlled. Too much or too little is not conducive to its normal growth.

Disease invasion

In fact, generally speaking, if the focus of the orchid is caused by improper management, although the situation may seem more serious, it does not have a great impact on the normal growth of the orchid itself, as long as the maintenance skills are adjusted in time. Pay more attention to planting in the future.

However, if the focal point of the orchid is caused by diseases and insect pests, it should be paid more attention, because once this happens, it must be dealt with in time to prevent diseases and insect pests from infecting other parts of the orchid.

The most common diseases and insect pests are red spiders, scale insects, iron rust and so on. as long as these diseases and insect pests appear, they should immediately clean up the diseased leaves and other infected parts, and then spray chlorothalonil, carbendazim and other agents for control.

The season of frequent occurrence of orchid diseases and insect pests is summer and autumn. In May and June, orchids should be sprayed with Hualing solution to prevent the emergence of diseases and insect pests. In the process of normal maintenance, prevention is often much more important than governance.
