Gardenia is a "perfect" plant, not only small and lovely flowers, but also bursts of fragrance, even the leaves are green, very likable. And we buy a pot back, but also can give it cuttage, the method is also very simple oh!

When we are cutting gardenia, the most common problem we encounter is that it does not take root, and often it does not take root for a long time. Therefore, today, we will give you how to cut gardenia and let it survive quickly.

First of all, we have to choose cuttings branches, to know that this step is the most important, branches if the wrong choice, even if you how cuttings are doing useless work. So before we prune the branches, we have to observe them to see how healthy they are. Remember not to choose new growth, because there is not much nutrition in the bud to maintain the later growth, the same, too old branches can not be used, because its rooting speed will be very slow!

The length of pruning can be about 15 cm, and 2-3 leaves can be retained at the top of the branches. In addition to paying attention to oblique cutting, it should also be cut at a distance of about two centimeters above the bud point, which will help the wound healing of the original plant and promote the germination of new branches!

Cuttings, the easiest way is to insert into the water to promote rooting, here, we need to use a common drink bottle, the size we have to decide according to the number of cuttings Oh. Then cut the bottle at one-third of its height, taking care not to cut it all, and add the right amount of water to it.

Next we have to put the branches through the foam board, and put them in the bottle, and finally seal the opening of the bottle with tape, just poke a small hole in the cap for ventilation. Then put it in a place where it can be sunburned. After a week or so, we can see the new roots of white flowers coming out!

After the roots grow well, you can open the plastic bottle, put the branches in a semi-shady place, and carry out the transition for two days, and you can plant it in the pot!

We can use paper cups to grow seedlings before putting them in pots. Now poke a small hole in the bottom of the cup and seal it with a piece of tape. Now add one-third of the water to the paper cup, and then add a little bit of fine soil. Hold the branch in one hand and gently put it in, and fill it with the other hand. This method can play a good role in protecting the roots.

After filling and fixing the plants, remove the tape at the bottom to allow excess water to drain from the cup. Then put it in the shade for about a week. During this time, you don't need to add water to it. After the soil dries, you can plant it in a large pot.

When planting, you can simply cut the paper cup open, pay attention not to destroy the soil ball, so that you can protect the root system well, thus increasing the survival rate! After the basin, we still have to give it a buffer time, two or three days, after which it can be maintained normally!

Gardenia is like a wet growth environment, especially in this season, we can spray water to the leaves, and appropriate shade, so that you can avoid yellow leaf problems. During this period of time, we should not fertilize it, otherwise the plant age is too young, it will easily burn!
