Huahua shows that it is also very helpless, but fortunately, the rose is easy to cutting. if it is grafted on the tree, not only the disease will be reduced by more than half, but even the flowering will be more diligent!

Grafted rose

We go to the park or see the rose raised by the gods, the branches are thick and strong, and they look like decades-old seedlings, but the flowers are still bigger than their faces. I envy them to death.

In fact, the age of these roses is similar to that of your family, and they not only bloom more than you, but also older than yours. What's more, its flowering period can last 1-2 months!

Some can even bloom in several colors, blooming like hydrangeas.

In fact, these are acquired artificially grafted rose, the upper part is rose, the lower part is rootstock, rootstock is generally used wood branch, rose branch

The grafted rose retains the advantages of the rootstock and is far away from the soil surface, reducing the risk of diseases and insect pests. It blossoms more and lasts longer, which seems to be very complicated. In fact, it is as easy to operate as cuttings. Let's learn it together.

Rose grafting method

1. Select rootstocks

Choose wood or rose branches with at least 40 cm long and thick fingers. If they are better with roots, they can be grafted directly in the field.

2. Prepare scion

The scion is the rose branch that needs to be grafted. Choose the green and strong branch that is born in the same year, at least 5 cm is enough, it is better to have 1-2 bud points on it.

Remove the leaves and thorns and make a clear distinction between the upper and lower parts.

About 2 cm long below the scion, ready to cut out the graft.

Cut obliquely to expose the white inner stem

After cutting the interface, it is best to put it in clean water or in carbendazim solution to avoid drying.

3. Cut the exit on the rootstock

Choose a place on the cross section of the rootstock and prepare to cut out the grafting interface, the width of which is the same as the thickness of the scion.

The main thing is to cut out the thickness of the skin, be careful not to break the skin, and the cut length should be the same as the cut length of the scion.

4. Complete the grafting

Insert the rose scion into the rootstock to make the two interfaces coincide.

Rewrap the skin of the rootstock

Then wrap and fix it with plastic film or soft tape.

If you want to grow into a rose crown quickly, you can graft a few more places on the rootstock and peel off a budding rose skin first.

Cut a T-shaped rootstock, peel it off, tuck the sprouted rose skin in, reveal the buds, and finally wrap it with plastic film or soft tape.

5. Colonization

The grafted rootstock can be inserted directly into the moist flower soil, put in a cool place to avoid exposure to the sun, keep it moist, take root in about 15 days, or cover a plastic bag at the grafting site to moisturize.

When the rose branch sprouts, it means the grafting is successful; if the branch is black and wrinkled, it means failure.

Post-grafting maintenance

After grafting and sprouting, you can bask in the sun, the rose after grafting is easier to manage, and there is almost no need to plant on the ground. if potted, the flowerpot should be selected according to the root size of the rootstock, and there is no need to use too large a flowerpot.

If you want the rose tree to open big and frequently, you can add some strong materials, such as fish sausage, chicken dung, cow and sheep dung, etc., so that you are not afraid of burning or worms.

Turn the rose into a tree
