Some flower lovers raise succulent plants, thinking that their succulent plants can grow faster and fatter. However, I also feel that most of the places of origin of succulent plants have poor soil, and succulent plants don't need much nutrients to grow, so they keep succulent plants hungry. How can succulent plants gain weight?. Therefore, if the succulent plant wants it to grow faster, it must be "fed up".

For succulent plants to "eat and increase", the simple thing is to give succulent plants proper fertilization to promote succulent plants to grow faster and fatter. So, how can we make succulent "eat up"? Generally raise succulent, do not apply too much fertilizer at one time, otherwise it will burn roots, the fertilizer suitable for succulent had better be long-term fertility, slow fertilizer effect, can be granular fertilizer, can also be slow-release fertilizer. We can also use chicken manure, earthworm manure, sheep manure and other organic fertilizer, the effect is also good.

Generally, there are two forms of "eating and rising" for succulent plants, one is slow-release granular fertilizer and the other is liquid fertilizer. These two fertilizers have long-lasting fertility, slow release, easy to use, clean and no smell. When using it, flower friends can grasp the dosage like this:

For the application of liquid fertilizer: liquid fertilizer should choose succulent special organic liquid fertilizer, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium is more balanced, generally diluted 500 times, and then spray succulent plant soil every 7 days, can also be like normal watering root or soaking basin.

For the application of slow-release granular fertilizer: usually fertilization can put the slow-release granular fertilizer directly on the basin, 10 cm diameter flowerpot put about 8, the fertilizer effect can last for half a year. You can also dig a hole in the succulent soil and bury the slow-release fertilizer in it. However, in summer, slow-release fertilizer is not recommended, but liquid fertilizer is better.

In addition, fertilization should be selected in the succulent growth period, not in the dormant period. Generally speaking, early spring is the transitional stage from dormancy to rapid growth of succulent plants, and fertilization is beneficial to promote the growth of succulent plants.

It can also be fertilized properly in June, and some succulent plants are in a semi-dormant state during the high temperature period in midsummer from July to August, so fertilization should be suspended. Just in autumn, the temperature dropped slightly, the plant began to restore vitality, can continue to apply fertilizer, until the end of autumn stop fertilization, in order to avoid excessive growth of succulent plants, generally do not apply fertilizer in winter.

Of course, there are some exceptions. Varieties with exuberant growth in summer, such as Fire sacrifice, Zi Lianhua, Xiaomixing, and so on, can be fertilized in summer, while winter-type snow lotus can also be fertilized in winter.
