The "one-year-old" rose, which is often referred to as the new rose, refers to the young rose that is less than a year old and not yet lignified, and the "young" rose with only one or two branches needs a lot of nutrients to blossom. Therefore, special treatment should be given to it in order to grow fast.

How to treat the "one-year-old" rose so that it can grow fast and strong?

1. Choose when starting.

In order to cultivate "one-year-old" rose seedlings, we must work hard to remove the bud before autumn. Usually, the rose seedlings purchased by flower friends have flowers and buds. When choosing and purchasing, we should focus on the new seedlings with strong and compact branches, many leaves and healthy green, and no diseases and insect pests.

2. Pick flowers and buds before planting

For the "one-year-old" rose seedlings bought back, if you see a new seedling with flowers, flowering is too heavy a burden on the plant, and the flowers need to be removed as soon as possible. Similarly, if it is a seedling with buds, the buds should also be removed. This operation should continue until around September.

The specific method of operation is: for picking buds, in order not to let the "one-year-old" rose seedlings blossom, it is necessary to remove the buds, and flower friends remove them with their hands to help the wound heal as soon as possible; for the seedlings that are picked and bought, the branches of the rose are very soft at the beginning of flowering and can be removed directly by hand.

After the removal action is completed, it is necessary to fertilize the "one-year-old" rose seedlings in time. It is recommended that flower friends use a special organic nutrient solution for rose, which is rich in nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The root is watered every 7 days in the seedling stage and diluted 500 times. The new buds of rose can continue to grow after removing flowers and buds, and new branches can grow in about a month.

3. Transplant as soon as possible

If you buy "one-year-old" rose seedlings in spring, they should be transplanted into a new flowerpot before June. In this way, the rose will be able to adapt to the new environment and get through the heat smoothly from June to July, when the rose is growing most vigorously.

The diameter of the flowerpot is one or two times larger than the diameter of the root soil mass of the "one-year-old" rose seedling. If directly planted in a large flowerpot, the soil is easy to dry, which is not conducive to the root growth of seedlings. In addition, pay attention to the use of well-drained mixed nutrient soil, do not disperse the root soil when transplanting.
