Long-term potted flowers irrigated with tap water, pot soil is very easy to harden, if you do not change the pot soil for flowers, the flowers and "buried alive" almost, impervious and easy to rot roots. If you find it troublesome to change pots, you can try this simple method.

Of course, this situation lies in that when the potted soil is not particularly hardened, we can often take chopsticks or small sticks to loosen the potted soil, of course, when loosening the soil is after the potted soil is dry, and the method is to use the smaller end of the chopsticks to insert the soil repeatedly along the edge of the flowerpot, so that the potted plant can be loosened properly, and it will be easier to penetrate when watering.

But we must pay attention to the action when inserting gently, slowly, otherwise hurt the root system of the plant, that will be miserable.

At ordinary times, we can also take some precautions. If the soil is loose and ventilated, it is not easy to harden:

(1) We usually water plants, and most of them use tap water. This is no problem. But before watering the plants, it is better to dry the flowers in a bucket for 3-5 days before watering the flowers, at least for 24 hours, which will evaporate the chlorine and harmful substances inside, so that watering the flowers is much better.

(2) in the process of watering potted plants, fermented Amoy rice water can be used to water flowers, especially adding one or two drops of rice vinegar, which can effectively prevent pot soil from hardening.

(3) if there are conditions, you can store some Rain Water and snow water when it rains or snows, and use these soft water to water the flowers, so that the potted plants are not easy to harden and grow.

If the soil in the flowerpot is really hardened, it is recommended to replace the soil, and it is best to put some pine needles and loofah on the bottom of the pot.
