Characteristics of organic ecotype soilless cultivation
Organic ecotype soilless cultivation technology has the characteristics of general soilless cultivation, such as improving crop yield and quality, reducing pesticide dosage, product cleanliness and sanitation, saving water, fertilizer and labor, using non-arable land to produce vegetables and so on. In addition, organic ecotype soilless cultivation has the following unique characteristics.
① replaces the traditional nutrient solution with organic solid fertilizer: traditional soilless cultivation uses various inorganic fertilizers to prepare a certain concentration of nutrient solution for crop absorption and utilization. Organic ecotype soilless cultivation is directly mixed with various solid forms of organic or inorganic fertilizers in the substrate, as the basis for supplying nutrients needed by cultivated crops, in the whole growing period of crops, solid fertilizer can be applied directly to the surface of the substrate several times every few days to maintain the supply intensity of nutrients.
The operation and management of ② is simple: the nutrient solution of traditional soilless cultivation, it needs to maintain a certain concentration of various nutrient elements and the balance among various elements, especially pay attention to the availability of trace elements. Due to the use of substrate cultivation and the application of organic fertilizer in organic ecotype soilless cultivation, not only all kinds of nutrient elements are complete, but also trace elements are more than supply. therefore, the total supply and balance of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium are mainly considered in management, which greatly simplifies the process of operation and management.
③ significantly reduces the one-time investment in soilless cultivation facilities: because organic ecotypic soilless cultivation does not use nutrient solution, the equipment, test system, timer, circulating pump and other facilities required for the preparation of nutrient solution can be completely eliminated.
④ saves a lot of production costs: organic ecotype soilless cultivation mainly applies sterilized organic fertilizer, which reduces the fertilizer cost by 60-80% compared with the use of nutrient solution. As a result, the production cost of soilless cultivation is greatly saved.
⑤ has no pollution to the environment: under the condition of soilless cultivation, it is normal for about 20% of the water or nutrient solution in the irrigation process to be discharged out of the system, but if the salt concentration in the effluent is too high, it will pollute the environment. The content of nitrate in the effluent of organic ecotype soilless cultivation system only increased by 1~4mg/, which did not pollute the environment, while the content of nitrate in the effluent of rock wool cultivation system was as high as 212mg/ liter, which caused serious pollution to groundwater. Thus it can be seen that the application of organic ecotype soilless cultivation to produce vegetables is not only clean and hygienic, but also has no pollution to the environment.
The quality of ⑥ products can reach the "green food" standard: from the cultivation substrate to the fertilizers applied, organic matter is mainly used. After certain processing (such as using high temperature and anaerobic fermentation, etc.), the organic fertilizer used will not produce too many harmful inorganic salts in the process of decomposition and release of nutrients. A small amount of inorganic fertilizer used, excluding nitrate nitrogen fertilizer, will not be polluted by other harmful chemicals in the process of cultivation. Thus, the product can reach the standard of "A grade or AA grade green food".
To sum up, organic ecotype soilless cultivation has the remarkable characteristics of low investment, low cost, less labor, easy operation and high yield and high quality of products. It introduces organic agriculture into soilless cultivation, which is a simple soilless cultivation technology with high benefit and low cost, which combines organic and inorganic agriculture. Since the introduction of this technology, it has been favored by the majority of producers. At present, it has been widely used in Beijing, Shanxi, Shandong, Henan, Liaoning, Xinjiang, Gansu, Guangdong, Hainan and other places, played a good exemplary role, and achieved good economic and social benefits.
