How to remedy the rotten Root of Orchid

If the growth environment is not ventilated, increase ventilation appropriately. If it is caused by a large amount of water, the amount of water should be reduced and the basin soil should be watered after drying. If the amount of fertilizer application is too large, then reduce the amount of fertilizer application and apply thin fertilizer frequently.

1. Increase light

Reason: Orchid growth needs sufficient light, if long-term lack of light will affect growth, but also affect photosynthesis, pot soil does not receive light, water will remain in the soil for a long time, roots can not breathe will appear rotten root phenomenon.

Solution: Increase the amount of light, give it about 4 hours of light a day, but do not accept sunlight exposure.

II. Increase ventilation

Reason: If the orchid growth environment is not ventilated, it will easily stay in the pot soil after watering, and the long-term existence of accumulated water will lead to rotten roots.

Solution: appropriately increase the ventilation of the growth environment, so that the accumulated water in the basin soil becomes dry faster, and the window ventilation can be properly opened after watering in daily maintenance.

3. Reduce watering

Reason: Many flower friends do not control the amount of watering, long-term excessive watering, pot soil will produce ponding, orchid roots will also become rotten due to ponding.

Solution: reduce the amount of watering, wait for the pot soil to dry before watering, and stop watering when the temperature is too low.

IV. Appropriate fertilization

Reason: Usually too much fertilizer, it can not absorb excessive fertilizer, or its roots have wounds, will suffer from fertilizer damage, resulting in rotten roots.

Solution: Reduce the amount of fertilizer appropriately, apply thin fertilizer frequently, avoid being close to the roots when applying organic fertilizer, increase the amount of watering appropriately if the amount of fertilizer is large, so that the fertilizer can be discharged more quickly.
