When it comes to the pruning of the rose, everyone should know something about it. Anyway, the rose is particularly resistant to shearing. The more it is cut, the fuller the plant will be and the more it will bloom. However, the pruning of the rose, divided into varieties and seasons, is not very tedious. In fact, as long as you master these three "killer mace", you can cut it any way you like.

The first "killer's mace": pruning according to the size of the flowers

Flower friends, in the rose pruning, it should be adjusted according to the variety. Generally speaking, for large flower rose, if the branches are not strong enough, they can not bloom big enough or have no flower buds, on the contrary, very fine branches for small flower varieties can also bloom normally. Therefore, when pruning, it is necessary to change the thickness standard of pruning branches according to the size of rose flowers.

The specific operating standards are: 1, large rose, deep pruning where the pencil is thin (diameter 8-10mm); 2, planting rose, cut to the thickness of disposable chopsticks (diameter 5-6mm); and 3, small rose, slightly trimmed in places slightly thicker than toothpicks (diameter 3-4mm).

Flower friends should pay attention to one thing: use sharp-edged pruning scissors to cut short decisively horizontally. Note that if the angle is too oblique, the cut is too large and easy to dry, causing the rose to sprout strong buds, so the oblique angle is generally 45 °.

The second "killer's mace": horizontal flat cutting at 5-10mm on the bud.

Cut horizontally and decisively at 5-10mm above the bud of the rose (formerly the root of the petiole). If too much is left on the bud, this part will dry up. The petiole marks left after the fallen leaves will have buds slightly upward, so you can look for the traces left by the fallen leaves when you can't see the buds clearly.

After pruning, when the incision heals, fertilize the rose in time to replenish the nutrients needed for growth. It is recommended that flower friends use liquid rose special fertilizer, generally mixed with water 500 times, once a week watering the rose, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium will be balanced, the rose will grow rapidly and bloom more and more.

The third "killer's mace": judge the orientation of the bud and reserve the bud in the right direction according to the desired plant type.

If the flower friends cut above the outward-facing rose flower bud (outer bud), the new branch extends outward, and if it is cut above the inward bud (inner bud), the new branch extends inward. Therefore, flower lovers need to think about the overall feeling to create their own ideal plant type through pruning.

Flower friends, whether it is summer pruning or winter pruning, mastering the above three "killer mace" can not only create a beautiful rose plant type, but also bloom brilliant flowers.
