The series was created by three Copenhagen design companies Moebe, Paper Collective and Norm Architects, using unique printing technology to imprint vivid plant leaves on transparent photographic paper.

Designers from Norm Architects convey Wabi Sabi's simple and quiet sense of art, design, poetry and philosophy through this static botanical image.

The inspiration for these still plant images comes from plant specimens and some plant illustrations. These static leaves seem to indicate the stillness of time. Leaves are sensitive plant individuals that are affected by the environment and climate and express this influence through fading, shrinking, curling, shrivelling, cracking, etc.

All the cracks, scars, dents, peeling, etc. on their whole bodies are the narration of their own experience and history. This time, through a new printing technology, these leaves will be fixed in a unique moment on transparent photographic paper.
