Eight Immortals, that is, Hydrangea, which is common to flower friends, blossoms violently. As soon as it opens, it is a big pot, and all the flowers are big balls. However, many flower friends do not understand whether the potted eight immortals should be "ruthlessly cut". Does it take a "hard cut" to blossom immortals? Let's have a look!

In order to make the flowers of the eight Immortals compact, the flowers are symmetrical and gorgeous, it is necessary for the flowers to be pruned properly, but it depends on the situation if you want to "cut hard".

The eight immortal flowers are properly pruned, usually when the new shoots of the seedlings grow to about 10 to 15 centimeters, they pick the heart and promote new branches. The second coring was performed when the new branch grew to 8cm. In the future, it will no longer pick the heart to avoid the late germination of new branches and affect the differentiation of flower buds in autumn. Then, after the eight immortal flowers shedding, cut the branches short, promote the new branches, and so on when the new branches grow to 8-10 cm, pick the heart, so that the buds on the new branches develop and enrich.

The need for "hard pruning" is that when pruning in early spring next year, the retained branches of the eight Immortals are cut short, each with 2 or 3 buds, in order to promote the emergence of new branches. If the flower friends do not carry out the above-mentioned shaping and pruning, the base of the eight Immortals becomes woody year by year, without new strips, which is easy to form the emptiness in the lower part of the plant and affect the ornamental value.

In addition, in the process of protecting the eight Immortals, in addition to pruning, we also need to pay attention to the following points:

1. The eight Immortals are native to the south of China. They like warmth and are not very hardy. There are many rows of potted plants in the north of China, and they enter the house in winter. The soil planted in East China should be kept warm in order to survive the winter safely. Eight Immortals are suitable for more fertile neutral to slightly acidic soils. Pot culture soil can be prepared with rotten leaf soil and garden soil mixed with a small amount of sandy soil. The eight Immortals prefer semi-shade to avoid the scorching sun, and must be cultivated in semi-shade or under the curtain in summer and autumn.

2. Baxian flowers like fertilizer, applying thin organic liquid fertilizer of flowers once every half month, diluting 500 times to irrigate roots, and applying 800 times organic nutrient solution twice in bud period to promote flowers to be beautiful.

3. The leaves of the eight Immortals are hypertrophic and require a lot of water, so the soil should always be kept moist, but not too much watering. The eight Immortals are fleshy roots, and the roots are easy to rot if there is too much water. As the weather gets cooler in autumn, it is necessary to gradually reduce irrigation to enrich the growth of branches, so as to facilitate dormancy overwintering and growth in the coming year.

3. Maintain the eight Immortals, remove the leaves before Frosts Descent and move them into the low temperature room, keep them for about 5 ℃, so as to promote dormancy. From the middle of January and February, the pot was moved to the sunny place and kept at 15: 20 ℃ to promote the growth of branches and leaves, and Grain Rain came out for maintenance the following year.
