Hello, everyone. The gardenia I bought last time today is a little wilting. If you take a closer look at the roots, many of them are broken. The soil is full of roots, which has affected its flowering. So, now we have to change the pot of gardenia.

When we change the basin, we try to hurt its roots as little as possible. we can see that the soil of the gardenia we bought is very hard yellow soil. We can soak it with water or wash away the soil with tap water to reduce the loss to the roots.

Gardenia soil had better use loose and breathable soil, I use peat soil, perlite, vermiculite, 4:1:1 ratio, because I am relatively lazy watering, so add 10% garden soil, so its water retention is very good.

When putting on the basin, the bottom must be covered with a tile, then put 1/5 of the soil at the bottom, and then put a few grains of compound fertilizer

Cover with another layer of soil, bury the fertilizer, and then carry the gardenia into the pot by hand and shake the roots while filling the soil. Don't let the roots all huddle together.

After filling the soil, shake the basin and press the basin soil with your hand. the height of the soil covers the root system about one centimeter.

Then water the gardenia thoroughly, and then put it in a place of astigmatism or in a light-sheltered and ventilated place, which can be bagged and moisturized. A few holes are made in the bag and maintained for about a week.

When you see a new leaf growing obviously, it means that the transplant has survived. During this period, the yellowing of the old leaf is a normal phenomenon. Just take it off.

After a week, you can take care of it normally and accept the light step by step.
