On September 21, the man put 12 sea poles on the south bank of the Hunhe River. At about 13:00, the sea pole alarm sounded and the fishing rod bent. The length of the carp king has not been measured, but someone weighed the fish and weighed 49.8 jin.

On June 25, 2014, fishing enthusiast Master Han successfully caught a large carp 85 centimeters long and weighed nearly 18 jin while fishing on the south bank of the Hunhe River Bridge. On July 2 of that year, fishing enthusiast Master Wang successfully caught a carp that was 88 centimeters long and weighed 19.2 jin on the south bank of the Hunhe River, winning the new title of "Carp King".

Seeing the new "carp king" being dragged around, many fishing enthusiasts are so distressed that they suggest that they be released. In the end, the carp king was bought by Mr. Guo, a Sichuan native who works as a medicine wholesaler in Shenyang, for 1198 yuan, and then put it back into the Hunhe River.

Where on earth did this "Carp King" come from? The relevant personnel of the Shenyang Aquatic Technology Promotion Station said that in recent years, with the strengthening of the regulation of the Hunhe River, the water quality and ecosystem of the Hunhe River have indeed been effectively improved, and there are more fish in the river than before, but it is still impossible to find out whether the carp is wild in the Hunhe River or escaped from the Dahuofang Reservoir.

On July 16, 2009, a fishing team from Qipanshan in Shenyang salvaged a "herring king" with a length of 1.82 meters and a weight of 77 kilograms, becoming the largest and heaviest "fish king" ever caught in Shenyang. The "herring king" was sold to the hotel for 3000 yuan, while fish bones and skin were preserved to make specimens.

It was still a herring who won the runner-up. In 1999, the Qipanshan fishing team also caught a 63-kilogram herring in Xiuhu Lake, which was made into a specimen.

In third place is a catfish. On July 19, 2014, Mr. Wang, a fishing friend, caught a catfish king, which is more than 1.3 meters long and weighs 46 kilograms, in the Liao River of Mahushan Bridge. The "catfish king" was then eaten by everyone.
