How to cultivate and maintain Chunlan in hydroponics?

Chunlan (pictured), alias Dolan and Pudilan, is the oldest cultivated species of Chinese orchids and is deeply loved by people. Chunlan is one of the famous flowers in China, which has high indoor ornamental value and exudes elegant aroma when it blossoms. it is a good product for decorating the house. its roots, leaves and flowers can be used as medicine.

1. Hydroponic method

Hydroponic cymbidium is a new cultivation method with water as medium and nutrient solution instead of soil. This method is simple and easy to learn.

(1) choose a special hydroponic flowerpot or brown wide-mouth bottle hydroponic orchid, use a special hydroponic flowerpot with no hole at the bottom and a double-layer net screen inside and outside, the culture medium is contained in the outer pot, and the inner basin is a grid sieve. The ribs between the meshes are fixtures for holding bulbs and orchid plants, such as stones or sponges. When transplanting the orchid plant, pull up the orchid plant with root, remove the old root, rotten root and excess root, and then rinse the root with clean water.

(2) the whole plant was disinfected once before entering the water and the concentration of the whole plant was 100 mg/I. After 10-15min of potassium permanganate solution, remove and rinse potassium permanganate solution with clean water.

(3) divide the roots into 2-3 groups and insert them into 2-3 sieve pots, as shown in the picture, so that the bulb clings to the cross ribs in the middle of the sieve foramen.

(4) use one hand to straighten the orchid plant, and the other hand to hold the washed 3cmX 5cm pebbles around the plant and shake it slightly around the inner sieve, and the orchid plant will be fixed in the center of the inner sieve. Wash and fix with clean water again, fill the outer basin with water, and put the culture liquid of human orchid in the water [Yoshama Huayao].

2. Maintenance guidelines

(1) Light and temperature Chunlan prefers half-yin and half-yang, with scattered light environment, the suitable temperature for growth is 20: 30 ℃, the plant is soaked in 1% potassium permanganate solution 10~15min, and then rinsed with clean water, the plants used for hydroponic culture are randomly and equally spare, and the seedlings are slow in clear water for about a week, and then cultured in nutrient solution after domestication.

(2) watering Cymbidium is suitable for growing in an environment with an air humidity of 70% to 90%. If the air is too dry, the orchid grows poorly, and the leaves are small and thin and dull. You can increase humidity by watering, Rain Water is the best, or you can use tap water and leave it for 1-2 days until chlorine volatilizes before use.
